I have a Cuisinart 10-cup grind and brew with stainless steel carafe that I purchased 2-3 years ago. Though it makes good coffee, the daily cleaning and drying of the bean grinder makes it not worth it and makes me wish I stayed with a separate grinder. The culprit is that while the coffee is brewing, the grinder component fills with condensation that turns the leftover grinded dust into muck. I have to clean then dry that everyday, kinda annoying. If you don't mind the extra couple minutes of cleaning *every* single day, then you'll probably like it.

In for one. Replacing a perfectly good Cuisinart Coffee Maker.
It has been a no complaints Coffee maker for years.
I was holding off for a Technivorm Mocha Master but my family has just not gotten the hint for Xmas the past few years.
Switching over for the thermal carafe instead of the Coffee Cooker and Glass pitcher.
Also simplifying by putting away the grinder.
Now to find a good way to vacuum store Whole beans
If you are going to the trouble of vacuum sealing it means that you care, which means you probably want a burr grinder--which this blade grinder is not.

While we're on the topic of coffee, anyone know a quality brand of whole bean that I can get without taking out a second mortgage? My grocery store mostly has pre-ground coffee, which I'm not a fan of, and the few whole bean options - while pretty good quality - generally costs like $13-15 for a small 10 oz package. I'm looking to potentially spend a little more but get more of a bulk coffee amount (and subsequent discount) and vacuum seal/freeze the excess until I'm ready to use it.

I have a burr grind and brew which I've been daily driving for 5+ years.

I'm getting close to replacing it because the burrs are hard to clean, but all in all it was a good purchase.

I have this exact coffee maker (since 2020). It's OK -- as others have mentioned, cleaning is a challenge as the grinder gets wet during brewing and requires a deep clean every time.
Cleaning/descaling the water reservoir is difficult, and the charcoal pod at the bottom is useless.

Additionally, while it can hold 12 cups of coffee, if you try to brew more than 10.5 cups of coffee at once, the machine will overflow and spill coffee all over your counter, floor, appliances, etc.

Otherwise, I've been mostly happy with it.

Have one I have used daily for 11 years :-) Whole beans are generally cheaper and keep longer. Highly recommend!
Edit update: the new one arrived yesterday, and has several improvements to the original design:a re-done filter basket with flip top, inclusion of a nice gold-grid metal filter, a "Clean Now" indicator, and a new "Clean Cycle". Can now adjust the time-on feature of the hot plate ( from 1 to 4 hours, 2 is std). It also is quieter than my previous grinder models. And the stainless finish looks much nicer than the old black+stainless finish :-)

Awesome deal - I bought a second one - thanks OP!

I haven't noticed a difference with a burr grinder in very similar machines of same brand.

Sounds like a design flaw, I was considering getting this but that sounds like more of a hassle than my separate grinder/brewer setup. I am wondering if the steam/humidity from the brewing process is also getting into where the beans are stored on the machine.

I have had such a coffee maker for many years, and I rinse the basket and carafe each day, but I've never felt the need to do what you describe. If I did, I certainly would not use it.

"Blade grinder," so no. Considered trash by those who know and care. A burr grinder is the standard (and more expensive).
I had the Cuisinart 12 cup with the blade grinder. Not terrible but not great. I got the cuisnart 12 cup with the burr grinder. Much better and more consistent. The one with the blade grinder resides in the basement as a backup in case something fails on the one I'm currently using (about 9 years old)

Costco has a decent variety of whole bean coffee including some local coffee (in some areas).

That is surprising. I have had a Grind and Brew with a burr grinder for over 10 years now and have had to clean the grinder area up to a jam up less than 5 or 6 times. I have an older model and enjoy the coffee and convenience.

Would never go with the blade grinder though.
