SL models don't have mics for voice commands or smart assistants. Good deal if you value privacy above convenience. For me, it depends what room I am installing in as to which model I go with.
I am hoping for the 30% off again with coupon for upgrading an old Sonos speaker. The sub would be $560.
Yeah, I have plenty of upgrade credits should've used it a couple months ago. Looked at all the major sets which could've used the higher discount and just ended up not doing anything.
This "extra 25%" off sale didn't last long or they had ridiculously low inventory, sold out under two hours after they sent out the email communication.
Is the refurbished Sonos beam gen 2 worth it at that $299 price point?
Also, Sonos has this same deal up on their ebay store. anyone have experience with all state warranty from ebay?
I see the sonos website has 1-year warranty and the ebay listing has 2-year w/allstate

Best price I've ever seen for the gen 2 Beam. It's noticeably better than the gen 1 and worth the price difference. It's nearly as good as the Arc for a smaller room with better dialog clarity. Def the sweet spot in value. Add a sub mini though, or you'll feel like it's lacking in bass imho.
Not sure why you're getting downvoted. It's good info for people to have when they buy. All the same, that new sound bar is gonna be way more expensive than $500, so this is still a good value buy for people who prioritize price over absolute performance.
Looking at getting the Beam for my Dad who is somewhat challenged with multiple remotes, etc. How plug and play is the Beam (Gen 1 or 2)? He's got a 1-year old OLED LG and the internal speakers are pretty crappy sounding.

If it's anything like the Arc, it should be pretty seamless. I have an Arc plugged into the eARC port of my LG CX and have no issues with it activating properly between different inputs. I just use the LG remote that came with the TV, too.

Been this way for about a week, been thinking about buying one to pair with my Arc that came in like-new quality.

Edit: I guess they automatically load it to checkout and its not stackable with already discounted price.
