Do you know if the rz70 is capable of dirac live bass if you buy it separately? I know the lx505 and pretty sure the rz50 don't have an option for dirac live bass.

Actually this has 4 sub outs, only 2 are independent other two run parallel.
They also added preamp mode, it's only L/R OR all channels.
On the other hand, many people believe Dirac Live includes their sub bass management for one sub. So they often believe DLBC has very little benefit if any especially for the price.
The RZ50 can process 11 channels also.
If that's the case this doesn't offer much for the extra $1k price especially since so many people rave about the RZ50.

Yes that's the benefit, if you do need(or will need) 11 channels the RZ50 is much cheaper to have it.
Several 9 channel amps offering 11 channel processing can be had under a grand. 11 channel amps with 13 channel processing jumps to 2 grand and I am talking sale prices

Keep in mind someone looking at using 11 channels and wanting the capability of 13 is asking for a lot of versatility from their receiver.
They usually don't have the belief only the LCRs matter also.
