Most laptops have the key built in the the bios/UEFI. Should be fine as long as it's home edition.

Is that similar to the custom Windows xp and 7 back in the day where you can manually remove features? I installed Windows 11 on a relative's computer and the 120gb drive was eaten away by updates. I used Wiztree to free up more than 50% of the drive from old large update files. Was pretty impressed it was that easy, just had to sort files by size in Wiztree.

Edit: Just realized this comes with a "128GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD". Sounds like it should be straight forward to upgrade this drive to a 1tb or at minimum 512gb and those have come down in price quite a lot recently. If this laptop could take a 32gb stick of ram, it'd be nice to get this thing upgraded to 36gb.

If you are close to a microcenter, their vivobook s deal for $300 is well worth the upgrade. Touchscreen, ips 300 nits, 16:10 screen, backlit keyboard, tb port for usb-c charging among other things, 256gb storage.
