1. The first thread you quoted I also was the first to respond and the price wasn't available less than 10 minutes after it was posted, despite still being in stock. It takes Amazon a few minutes to sync their displayed price as well, so IF it was even available at that price, it was available for less than 5 minutes before auto adjusting back up. So that's heavily questionable, and not even sure one person got it.
2. The second post is from Black Friday week - again, not a great barometer to compare to.
Is it a stellar deal? No. But it's the best price it's ever been since Black Friday, and just 2 weeks ago was selling as high as $1,700 for about a month direct from Amazon. Next closest price is $200 more. It's not a bad deal at all for a TUF with a 4070. Sure if you hold out another month or two with the release of new processors it'll probably dip MAYBE $100 lower for a little while before selling out. IMO it deserves a post - it's a decent price point for the specs and model.
