A: The Grill was designed to provide an optimal experience for backyard cooking and is not designed to function as a fire pit. The Grill does not allow air to come through the top of the unit. This prevents the food from being consumed by the secondary burn, thus it would not produce an efficient, smoke-free flame like the fire pits.
The Grill has a more shallow depth than our fire pits, providing less protection from a bonfire-sized flame. It is designed to support ideal cooking temperatures (approx. 400-500 degrees) which are much lower than the fire pits, which can sometimes reach over 1200 degrees Fahrenheit.
