We have both the 7-in-1 and 11-in-1 deluxe versions. Love them both and they are going strong. They're in basically daily use since early April and will be until probably mid-November or even later.

I read that they are very very similar. The extra functions are just different speeds. I run mine all on lite ice cream which would have the most water content/hardest to grind down so no real need for the extra functions. Lite Ice Cream mode spins the fastest, but the shaft goes down the slowest so it's not as stressed out. Then I do a respin.

I use mine almost daily. Get some extra containers so you can do bulk preps. I use vanilla ice cream whey, blue berries, banana and a bit of milk. Or chocolate is just double chocolate protein powder and a little scoop of chocolate pudding.

Has Ninja fixed the issue of black fragments (plastic from the parts?) being chipped off into the produced food during processing? I was looking at one of these about a year ago and many reviews on Amazon stated as such.

is there any reason why sam's club always gets the slightly worse/outdated version of almost every product (besides miserly purchasing contracts) compared to costco? this even applies to produce (not that costco has the best produce, but sam's is even worse somehow at that.).

Larger containers, different functions, ability to do different layers.
Our go-to is the 7-in-1 and like someone else said, mostly we use the lite.

Our ice cream ranges from just dumping canned fruit (mandarin oranges, peach, pear, cherries plus the juices) into the container and freezing (running it on sorbet), to cherry + homemade yogurt to fruit + milk to Carnation Breakfast + milk + heavy whipping cream and everything in between...
Come summer, we'll toss figs right from our trees into the containers, add a little milk and have the best fig ice "cream." Can't wait for lychee to show up at Costco again...

For those who are put off by the cream cheese in Ninja recipes - we don't use it. We use milk and heavy cream (or just half & half).

For extra sweetness, boil sugar and water until it gets a bit syrupy. Adding straight sugar leaves a layer on the bottom.

We also use sometimes essences (orange, lemon, cherry, etc) to flavor milk / cream mix. Vanilla extract with alcohol is a bit harsh when frozen.

Kohl's sends it out. You may need to sign up for Kohl's rewards (and if you get the Kohl's CC, you get an extra 35% off many items).

Whats the real world level of effort in using this machine? Ive toyed with the idea of getting one of these machines. but having hesitation because im worried about a steep learning curve or too much planning/effort needed. Similar to how I thought buying a pizza oven would mean family pizza nights in our backyard every friday night. That just didnt happen because of the level of effort involved in making homemade pizza in my Ooni

I got one for $130 i should've waited for better deals like this, but what i can say is that this is 100% worth it especially if you're watching your weight since you can make really good protein ice cream or simple sorbets or even frozen yogurt pints
