Cheaper eh? So $529 regular price as opposed to 549?
I'm very careful with my tech devices. I've been using tech since about 2010, and other than when I stupidly put my iPhone in my high school backpack and broke it, I have never had any tech gadgets fail on me, let alone twice for the AirPods Max.
Part of me hopes they do update it so I can finally have all usb c devices, but the other part is going to be mad when they do because I just bought mine within the last year.

What are you using now?
All signs point to the holiday season this year. Doubt they'll be as cheap as these with the Amex deal for anyone who qualifies. But it's possible retail price will be slightly cheaper. So just a matter if anyone wants these now.
2nd gen AirPods Pro! There's actually very little difference between them and the AirPods Max. They're more comfortable too since they're not so bulky, though some may not like the in-ear feel. But even that is done better than other in ear seals I've used in the past. Sound quality is very close, noise cancellation can be better in some cases. The Pros have the newer chip inside which gives it access to features like adaptive audio which is really cool.
So I'm really happy with my Pros. I've had them since early last year. No issues whatsoever.
