Things change, and this with a 30% cut below MSRP is great.
From that thread I gathered that the double acquisition (Masterbuilt in 2017; then Middleby in 2021) did not do any favors to their customer service. Looks like they are trying to do away with their lifetime warranty on ceramic parts and limit warranty repairs and replacement to none. It seems they are more open for accept the return on faulty grill then to repair it.
There is no phone number to reach Kamado Customer support. You can only get get to them via the form on their web site (very fragile, need to turn off all ad blockers and sometimes even use Edge) or via their Facebook page. Both ways are still require a lot of waiting and multiple reminders. It was not like this before but it is now. So before spending $1000 for a purchase that is very fragile, think of potential issues with support and maybe look for alternatives first.
Got BGE from the local dealer instead.
