That would be a useful update but the personal attack is unnecessary.
Fake news!
Handles are aluminum, the actual wrench parts are chrome vanadium steel. Not saying it's great steel, but aluminum would be a cruel joke.
Imagine spending your Saturday morning bickering on SD about hex keys. 🥴

Think twice, they are not practical to use. Individual allen wrenches are far better

These are not "long arm" keys. Those would be single hex units that exceed the usual length. But what would I know--I'm only a federally licensed journeyman with 35+ years experience.:https://www.amazon.com/Wiha-66994...23&sr=1-19

so how many federally mandated journeys have you been on?

I wouldn't go that far. I have a set like this (more sizes), and it's nice sometimes to grab in case it's needed rather than my larger set of individual hex keys. Also, the ability to angle the key, rather than a fixed "L" comes in handy.

Note, this is aluminum, not hardened steel. If I'm reading that correctly. Which means could wear out the edges of the head easily, if used with any significant Force. I know most applications that require forced probably should not be using hex Allen wrenches but, let's just be honest about it. Don't expect long life from them

The handle is aluminum. Not the keys

Some tips from a person who uses Hex keys in their profession. Ball end hex keys should only be used when needed which would be when you cannot get straight on the fastener with the tool. The reason is, there is a lot less contact area with ball end tools and you are much more prone to stripping the bolt head or at least prematurely wearing the fastener. This is especially true is you are working with softer fasteners like stainless steel or anything under a 10.9 grade fastener.

Considering this is a 3$ set, it isn't going to be made of the greatest steel or have the tightest tolerances. I'd pass on these but that's just my opinion.

My favorite brands in order are PB swiss, Wera and Wiha. Bondus isn't too bad either.

wherestheanykey shouldn't be allowed to post comments. Below is the benefit of ball end allen wrenches and yet nowhere was it mentioned.

"Ball end hex drivers allow misalignment between the screw and the driver. You can drive at an angle. This is useful when you can't fit the driver in straight. They are not as good for high torque though, since there's less engagement surface so the driver can break or strip the head more easily."
Amen to that. I have stripped out the heads of too many fasteners with ball-head allen wrenches. I threw every one i had in the trash. I guess that's why torx fasteners were developed.

For $3.10, hope people here are not expecting Snap-Off quality, most whining comments suggest that.

I personally like a good screwing with balls at the end of my shaft. Especially when there is a lot of screwing to be done. Sure most of the time a straight shaft is what you want but after that initial torque I really want to put my balls into them and do the rest.

If that's the case you should've thrown your head in the trash after the first stripped ball heads. How many of ' too many fasteners' one would need to strip to realize that?!

You can do that if you want but I think it is better to not do it in the forum.

I'd be very satisfied with Snap-on quality, not looking for Snap-off :-)
