yep big deal here too, complete with my tribe shrieking and shouting for me. I was in the bathroom, rinsing with Listerine. felt nothing there.
came out to people screaming like the world had ended, and one person ready to have a heart attack saying "oh my god the TV is bouncing up and down, loooooookkkkkk, tv is bouncing"
i looked. tv was just sitting steady.
however the water inside in a bottle of sparkling water was swaying wildly like a boat in a stormy ocean. and my exercise resistance band had miraculously drifted off the edge of the couch and was swaying excitedly. so i knew there had been a quake or some tremors. then i looked in the rooms and the candle sconces were all swaying.

i am told desks and chairs and televisions and the microwave and tv were all bouncing and jumping and rattling. i only saw humans jumping. and that was unsettling enough.

Yeah I only felt it for about ten seconds and I had no idea what it was. I didn't find out it was an earthquake until maybe an hour later. I was sitting in a chair and it was moving sporadically.

I was also sitting down when the earthquake hit and the shaking chair was my alert too.

We had a small earthquake here a couple of years ago. I was sitting in my chair in front of the computer, and felt the house kind of tremble. What a weird feeling. I can only imagine how scary a strong quake that lasts several minutes, like the one in Japan, feels.

By the way, I got my surveys back. They never did tell me why they turned off my profile, nor did they tell me they turned it back on. I've been waiting for an answer to the two e-mails I sent, and I happened to check my surveys for the heck of it. They were baaack!
