Looks like the cruise industry is getting desperate. I've never seen a rate this low before, hope someone can take advantage of it. You can do a 4 Day Baja Mexico (minus the Mexico) for $99 for an interior cabin. For two people, after port taxes and fees, it comes to $292.20 (Leaving from San Diego, departing May 10) or $273.76 (Leaving from Los Angeles, departing May 11). That comes to $36.53 per person per night for San Diego, or $34.22 per person per night for Los Angeles.
This will probably be more beneficial to CA residents, but this offer is available to anyone.

The 4 Day Baja Mexico itinerary is actually a Catalina itinerary. The ship leaves from San Diego/Los Angeles, visits Catalina Island, then you have 2 "Fun Days At Sea"

MikeDirntRulez: Due to the "Swine Flu Pandemic", all cruises with a destination in Mexico are being diverted to Catalina Island off the coast of Southern California.
Russell: Are you sure? I've read cruise ships are being diverted to San Francisco http://www.kron.com/News/ArticleView/tabid/298/smid/1126/ArticleID/1271/reftab/36/t/Two-Major-Cruise-Lines-Call-on-San-Francisco-Instead-of-Mexico-Because-of-Swine-Flu-Fears/Default.aspx
They're going to a lot of different places. Some are going to Key West, St. Thomas, Nassau, etc.

Thanks
these were infected with SWINE FLU, I called priceline, confirmed. thats why they are doing SD -> catalina ->SD or LA -> CAt _> LA, no mexico.
Sodas, bottled water and alcohol are not.
As for avoiding mexico... Who cleans up after you? Who makes your bed? Who serves you food?.. I have never been on a cruise ship, but figured it'd be like little mexico on those..
Both kids --- 2 yrs. and 7 months have to pay the full amount, though. Boohhh !
My bad, it does have Camp Carnival. Now only if you can book for more than 2 people other than the Suite.

Then click on Virtual Tours, should be the very first one on the right.

every year tens of thousands of people die from the regular flu
so far ONE AMERICAN has died form swine flu and she had a buttload of underlying complications
stop believing the BS hype the media wants you to fear and read "in between" the media and find out the real deal
Now how likely is this? I have no clue... but I would say not very. But I am just letting you know why they are afraid of the whole "swine" part.
NOTE - I may not be 100% accurate but that is the gist of it.
