Couple Valentine Role-Play leads to arrest.... Dumb cops

Quote :
One couples' bondage role play on Valentine's Day ended in handcuffs, but not the fuzzy kind.

Portland, Ore., police received a call Tuesday afternoon that a naked woman was tied up in the back of a Subaru last seen leaving a supermarket parking lot.

Police deployed "at least nine cars" to look for the SUV and even alerted authorities in Washington in case the car crossed the state line.

Twenty minutes later, the Subaru was seen pulling into the driveway of the registered owner's address.

Nikolas Harbar, 31, who was the driver, told police that he and his girlfriend were "doing some Valentine's Day role playing."

Once police confirmed with Stephanie Pelzner, 26, that she was voluntarily nude and tied up, they slapped a pair of cuffs on the couple and booked them on one charge of disorderly conduct in the second degree.

"Role-play all you want," Sgt. Pete Simpson told ABC affiliate KATU. "But when you do something that is going to generate a 911 call, you should probably do it at home."
So now we are responsible for other people's stupidty or stupid assumptions in calling 911?

Maybe next time when I see a white baby being wheeled around by a non-white person, I get to call 911 and report that as kidnapping and have them arrested..

I would have totally called 911 if I saw that and I don't think that makes me dumb. I would want someone to feel free to call 911 if they ever see me naked and tied up in the back on an SUV.

Seriously?

Why was the caller stupid? Maybe they thought the naked person in cuffs was in trouble? Dontknow Have you ever had concern for a stranger's saftey?

And what is the significance of the statement about the baby? Are you racist? Because I can't STAND racist people.

After all the nasty comments you have made about police officers in several threads..........Make sure you don't call them if you ever need them. I would hate to assume you're a hypocrite.

I'm still not clear how the cops were the dumb ones in this story. Huh Would it be better for them to shrug off the people who called 911 and have the woman end up dismembered in a ditch??

This. And you do know that nudity in public is illegal right Ryu? Obviously if someone was able to see into the vehicle that's public enough for the police.

because even after they confirm that the situtation was NOT a crime, they STILL WANTED TO made a arrest regardless..

So because of someone's else stupid assumption, they held the couple responsible..

If the cops just let the matter go after they found no crime involved it would all been fine and dandy... the cops choose to escalate the matter by making a stupid arrest for the sake of arrest

And while we are on the topic of Seattle cops:

Do you live in a nudist colony? Last I knew the naked person in public broke the law. And even though the couple told the officers that it was just a game....did it ever occur to you that they wanted to be sure she wasn't kidnapped by some sicko that had her naked and cuffed?
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that is not normal.

You need to get your facts straight before you come up in here with these psycho babble rants.

I see you couldn't answer my questions. At least you are consitant.

Guys. You're talking to Ryu.

All cops are bad and out to get you, even if their actions were justified. Didn't you know that?
