Hey everyone!

I was at my parents house since the 5th of July till this past Tuesday. I just HAD to get away from Patrick.

I'm TOTALLY kidding I actually missed him a lot. My dad took my little sister and Elizabeth on a little vacation and I stayed with my mom to help her out with stuff around the house cause she has some health problems. I had to take their dog Nikki on four walks a day around the neighborhood...we were having head index's that were 115-125 (WTF?) so I'd dunk Nikki in water before we went out cause she's a black dog and I didn't need her fainting in the heat, lol. I lost a few pounds in that week but I figured it was probably all water I sweated out Was sad to leave though, I had a lot of fun over there.

And THEN...tomorrow my parents are taking Christian for a few days...I think till Thursday. So they'll have both kids. This is the first time in...geeze I don't remember the last time it's just been me and Patrick here by ourselves. Then Patrick leaves Thursday for over a week.

Oh!! And in the town my parents live in...they have a Chipotles so I was very excited. I got some steak burrito thing with rice and roasted corn salsa or something. It was really good. I wish we had one here.

Oh and how cool is this? My dad drove by our old house in Sarasota...he wanted to get a picture of the outside to show to us. The people who live there now were outside so he stopped to talk to them. They actually let them inside to look around the house! That's so cool!!!

My parents built the house, then some guy and his wife bought it, then some assholes bought it who completely trashed the place and now the current owners have fixed it up again. The guy who owns it now said they bought it on a foreclosure and that the people had trashed it. The new guy is a contractor and he did a ton of work to it and my dad said it's looking really good again. Lots and lots of differences but some stuff like the lanai was the same and the bar and so many of the trees we planted were still there. The orange trees my parents planted were still there and the guy told my dad he had just gotten five gallons of oranges from it. My dad enjoyed talking to the guy and the guy liked talking to my dad since my parents were the ones who built it originally. Like my dad built a huge section of shelves in the utility room and the guy was like "Hey that was one of the things I really liked about the house, I didn't know who put them there or how long they've been there..."

He's also really good friends with the people who were our neighbors when we lived there. Thought that was kinda neat.

So I told my dad I hope he was super nice to the guy because I'm so going to go to Sarasota next summer and see if I can worm my way back into the house too

Sorry you're having a rough time, arj. Careful you don't spread yourself too thin. It's easy to do and caregiver fatigue is a very real problem.

That IS cool. I'd love to see the house I grew up in, but I'd be scared to death to ask.
