I eat cucumbers like nobody's business when they're in season. Sometimes I'll just have a bowl of them with Italian dressing for dinner. I'll be planting a ton of them in my garden as well. And then probably crying to you about how they aren't growing... I've never grown cucumbers before. Hell, I've never planted anything in the ground before, always containers!

That was the middle of March. Today my garden is amazing!!
We (I mean DH) shoveled out the sod under the boxes and we filled them with topsoil, mulch and potting mix. Then I planted all the stuff and topped it with chunky mulch to help with weed control. The initial work is tough, but the rewards will be worth it!
I uploaded more pics to FB - I got all skeezed out because my phone has the GPS settings on it so I didn't want to post them all here. FB strips that as far as I can tell. Now I'm going to figure out how to turn that off on my phone.

I think I'm officially OK! Lost another inch around the middle (that makes 3!) but not sure I'll keep that one off or if it's just from being sick. I can't Zumba Monday b/c I'm going to the zoo with LT's field trip.

Also, a lady I know's daughter was murdered last night. The daughter was 24 with a 2 year old son and the son's father murdered her. He then drove away in her car and they found him later in the car in the bottom of a rock quarry. They had to send in divers. I feel terrible for her. All I could think all day was how she should be enjoying the beautiful day, not planning her daughter's funeral. That's why I was scrubbing. Work therapy.

There's also a LOT of bodyweight fitness stuff you can do. Google "Convict Conditioning" and see what you think. It's all stuff a guy in prison with no equipment could do - also good for people who can't get to the gym or class!

Family "vacation" to visit family = no vacation. I'll be cooking for DH's 100 yr old grandparents the whole time. My only hope is the hotel pool! I might try to run if there's a treadmill available.
