Good Morning. Yawn

Had a good shopping trip yesterday. Nice cashiers that did not mind coupons and a shopper in line behind me that was hoping I had coupons so she could see how much I saved. It was a joy to check out.

I have enough Playtex tampons from Target and Kotex U from Wags that I should be safe in a small flood. woot
Yay for good shopping trips! I haven't been to target in weeks Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Quote from tn_native :
At least it's something most women need every month, versus something only a few people in the world need (or at least that is what always seems to be a RR item at wags).

Yay for a good shopping and a nice checkout.

It's Monday.... yawn. Why is it that I wait until I have no clean clothes (that fit) to wear before I do laundry? I was up too late last night waiting on the dryer, probably because I didn't start doing the wash until late.
I agree on the things you need.. I actually got a few of the kotex from wags last week.. ended up with 6 or 7.. But, alot of the crap in my garage is stuff we won't use ever, and I am *trying* to stop bringing that stuff home.

I think not having clothes that fit can be a great problem. But, I hear ya on the laundry.. I would often run out of clean clothes if it wasn't for DH. He works from home 2 days a week and on those days, he is great to get up first thing, and start the wash while he works. I heart that man.. he is the best!

I am hoping to lose a few more pounds so that I can get some new clothes to wear for summer..

Mini Thrift has been a very busy girl with honors/ap classes & a part time job. She'd watch them without swag or payment. My husband needs to stop working so much and realize that I am truly losing my marbles here!
hug I hope DH can relieve you a little soon.. I would hate for your marbles to be gone! I know how crazy it can be when you are home with little ones all day alone. When my first 3 were small.. I had 3 kids under age 5.. My DH worked a crazy shift and he was gone most of the day when they were awake.. I tell ya, I used to feel so guilty because some days I would watch the clock and count down the time until bedtime.. Days would seem so long!

Quote from flugette :
Yeah, if I had to pay full price for my groceries, my family would pretty near starve. Well, not as bad anymore, but at that time, coupons literally fed my family. Well, that and the grace of God.

And :hug on the hubby working so much. I think they don't understand how difficult it is for us until they walk a mile in our shoes. I'm going to be going to MI for my dad's surgery in a couple weeks, and hubby will have the kids for 3 days. By himself. They'll still be in school, so he'll have that whole routine to do. By himself. I'm kinda looking forward to it, in an evil sort of way. Big Grin

Morning, everyone! Enjoying my mug of coffee from DD this morning. They had a cup that you could get .99 refills of reg. coffee until April 30, so you can bet I'm getting at least 2 today! laugh out loud Wink
Morning! nothing like cheap coffee!

Haha.. true, sometimes I like the baggy clothes to remind me of my loss Smilie

Is the deal still on? I was thinking it was over last week?

Quote from Photos101 :
Hello everyone. Wonderful Monday!

For some reason, i always get kinda worried when I have a sale. Too many weird stories about people getting shut down and fined for selling new items. I have saved all my receipts. Our town is so small (3500 population) that I don't even think we have any kind of Sale codes. Anyways, my Uncle is on the License commitee and has came to my sales every time and never mentioned anything so I assume I am okay.

I am supposed to be getting ready for a sale this weekend, but I just can't get motivated to have one like I used to. I only have about 3 a year but just get tired of the same ole' people asking the same ole' questions and me giving the same answer. lol Usually my DH sits with me and fends off the weirdo's but he will be working so it will be just me and DD. It seems like soo much work anymore. Luckily we have a building we get to set up in so being inside helps. I can set up a little all week while keeping the doors closed.

My goal is about $600 (or $663 to be exact LOL). We will be open friday evening for a few hours and then Sat morning until about noon. That is the amount we have left to save for our lowest disney budget. We have another 'budget' number we would like to reach but we need 'at least' that much to hit our first goal. Then the more we save after that, the more extra things we will get to do. We would like to add a couple of days, plus we need Universal ticket money. So far we have saved enough money and GC's and have not had to touch one penny in our savings account. Huge success for us!! I also will have about $1000 in emergency cash in my checking to use for just that..an emergency. Sooo, so far things are looking good on that front.

DS tells me that he has misplaced (uhh lost) his marching shoes so will have to pay $20 for a new pair. He says he gave them to me when we were at a parade during Dec. but I can't remember that far back. LOL

Hope everyone is having a great start to another week!!
I love Disney and it is so much more rewarding to save when you are saving for something fun!

I can sympathize on the sale though..We used to do a few each year, but now I just hate it.. It is so much work to me. I told DH I would rather work a few more hours at my job, lol.. Last time I just worked a deal with a local guy at the flea market. I sold him a ton of stuff for cheap. I ended up with 325.00 when I could have probably gotten 500.00 for it, but I didn't have to sit in the sun and haggle with people all day either!

I worked so much over the weekend that it wasn't funny.. But, I think I will end up with an extra 1100.00 or so.. I am booking me a few days at the beach with the money. I told DH we deserve it for how hard we have both worked lately. And now I won't feel guilty about spending the money.
Came home from a long day at work yesterday and my youngest had a fever.. I forced fluids on her and she seemed better by bedtime..Woke me up coughing at 4 am and coughed so much she threw up in my bed vomit gonna be one of those weeks *sigh*

another reason i stopped cvs'ing. in the beginning it was good stuff like toothpaste and body wash. but then 2-3yrs ago all the faecb stuff became stuff i didn't need or want and my mom didn't want it either and any overage was being burned off and even costing me w/ higher gas prices.

if i had to pay full price for my groceries i think i'd end up shopping at walmart more often vomit, would be eating lower quality food and less selection b/c double coupons here make a big difference.

out of the 13 items, i had 8 coupons, 4-.30 yoplait lactose free yoghurt ip's which doubled to make them free and 4- .75 nut thins which were also on sale for 1.99 so .49 after doubled q's.

if i had to pay full price for yoghurt i certainly would buy it as much and yoghurt is good for you.

and i like salty snacks so i'd probably end up w/ cheaper lower quality snacks or not buy any at all.
Yeah, coupons definitely made feeding my family so much easier. And I don't buy processed stuff (well, not for my family to consume, at least Teehee). Well, ok, I do get granola bars and fruit snacks and goldfish for my kids, but that's about it. We don't do Hamburger Helper, Uncle Bens, anything like that. I never had it growing up and so I really don't like the taste of any of that stuff.

I used 40+ Revlon coupons today, between Rite Aid and Target, and I'm about shopped out. Faint I have one more stop at RA to make, and then I am done. That was a super nice MM at T, despite the beeps. Threw a few YTC items in, and my runs were awesome. Big Grin

And HD, thanks for the reminder about the Playtex! I used up my qs on those today, too. There weren't any TQs, right? Just the BOGOs?

And photos, I have to say, my sale on Saturday seemed to bring all the riffraff out, but in the end, it was definitely worth it. Greedy One family even left in a huff, screaming obscenities at us! All because my husband went and took one of our children's OWN bikes (ie., NOT FOR SALE!!) away from their little one. He had just walked up and grabbed it and was riding it all over the driveway, in and out of customers' feet, etc. The mom just let him do it. And when my hubby took it away from him, she was like, "He's not gonna steal it!", all huffy and annoyed. Really, lady?!? My hubby got firm with her and she gathered up her group and left, hollering all the way.

I have just come to the conclusion that if the parents aren't going to tend to their own children, then I will do it for them. And I won't be particularly the nicest person, either. laugh out loud Its a liability for me if the kids get into trouble and get hurt and whatever, so I am super vigilant about stuff like that, and not letting them get into anything they're not supposed to. She's the first mother who's actually had a problem with it, most women are all apologetic and/or embarrassed and watch their kids more carefully.

But like I said, it was definitely worth it in the end. Broke my last record in sales, so I was happy. heart

L2B..Nice job on the OT/extra income. I am sure it really stinks to work all those hours but it is always nice when payday comes. DH has been working ALOT of OT. Last pay period he had around 150hrs for a 2wk pay period. He was EXHAUSTED! But felt somewhat better when payday came. He would get home in time to grab a bite to eat, shower, get some sleep and then do it all over again the next day. Thankfully this week they are rotating the late workers so he will get off after 12hrs a couple of days.

Oh Flug...Sometimes I don't know which is worse the kids or the parents! Some people uggh! When I used to have the sales at my house, the parents would just let their kids go play in my 'play yard' where we had all our little tikes jungle gyms and swings and such. Just so they could look without having to deal with their own kids. And of course the brats would tip them all over and had no respect for anything. It would drive me insane. AND we have a privacy fence all the way around our house. I finally started locking the gates.

Now my dad has bought a building (used to be an old lumber business) up town. He just uses for storage and it is HUGE. So he lets me set it up in it. Works great.
But let me tell you, if there is riffraff out that day, they all seem to find my sale. But as you said, it is usually worth it.
I find it kinda funny, cause those are the ones that spend ALOT of money. Makes me wonder where they get the extra to spend on stuff. But I happily take their money!!

L2Bee - how's your little one? From looking on FB, she's growing up (which I know makes you sad).

Sharon - is it already time for a new baby? Pray for a healthy baby

You have facebook now??

She is better, thanks! She hasn't been sick anymore and her temp has been normal today, but she still has a cough.. I don't know what it is, but someone in this house has had a cough for weeks. Took my youngest son to the doctor last week and they put him on antibiotics for a sinus infection.. He still sounds really stuffy nose and his ears are clogged and has been on the meds 5 days.. I have a cough off and on.. and now my oldest daughter sounds yucky too! We need to lysol the house or something.. or maybe a nice rainstorm to wash away some of the icky pollen..

And, yes.. my baby is growing up way too fast!

Since my DD was feeling better, I went in to work this afternoon.. took the morning off to be with her, but left her with DH this afternoon so I could work some. Glad to be home now!

Good luck! Can't wait to see baby pics Smilie

Morning everyone Yawn went to bed around 3:30, up at 6:15.. 1 cup of coffee down, working on another.

I tell ya, I wish my family could shake all this cold/cough mess.. I couldn't sleep and read in my bed until about 2 am when I got sleepy. Turned my kindle off and was about to drift off when my DD came and got into the bed.. She was restless and coughing. I tried to sleep but couldn't, so I left her and DH asleep and I went to the couch. They I was wide awake again. Watched tv until a little after 3 am. Then, I could hear my DS downstairs coughing.. Ugh, finally drifted off around 3:30.. my DD was in the living room at 6:15 wide awake telling me she had been up "all night". Apparantly she had been bothering my DH for ever an hour.. poor guy headed out to work a few minutes ago looking exhausted. Said he didn't get much sleep and now he is getting a cough too.. plus, he is supposed to be singing at a funeral tomorrow. I am praying he gets better! As tired as I am, I think I will suck it up and let him go to bed really early tonight and get some rest.

And, I don't have any idea how my 4 year old keeps going. DH said she didn't fall asleep until late last night.. then she was up by 5 this morning.. now, she is playing, laughing, and acting like she is in a great mood. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Gonna be a long day! But, atleast I am up early.. maybe I can get something done. I am thinking about maybe a Kohls and Target trip today..
