OMG You're missing out, gotta use the beef/pork/veal mix, so much more taste, same with meatballs!
I don't eat spaghetti (or pasta or noodles as some call it). I've probably eaten ground pork in italian sausage on a pizza or in a restaurant dish of some type. Seems to me that ground pork would add fat to the dish.

You must be Italian.

LMAO

I am! Well pork has become VERY lean in the last decade, to the point that it's lost some flavor due to it, but it's not a true meatball without it imho. I couldn't live without pasta, especially tortellini, heart or braciole!

Nope, any Shoprite's south of Trenton only goes up to $1! Acme will and has no limits but their deals have sucked for about 2 years now. Used to be a time where Acme way seriously paying you to shop there, paid for the GF's graduation party for her Masters with MM OYNO's from Dove body wash, we had a build your own shishkabob with Sirloin, pork loin, chicken and all sorts of veggies.........ah those were the days. I acyually went into an Acme for the first time in a year a month ago to get some free Quaker rice cakes, brought back memories!

Your making me crave then now,........................................thanks!!!! drool

Not sure if you or anyone in your family is car handy but if the car is a little older or hasn't had a full maintenance done lately replacing the air filter, fuel filter, and cleaning out the MAF and all the air solenoids can give you another mpg or two. Just did all that to our van and I jumped up about 1.5mpg! Our van is a late 90's though and it really needed the tune up but it helps that and keep the tires filled up.
Thanks for the tip Reg. Yep it certainly does help to do all of that, we just had it done before our vacation and I was thrilled to see it really helped. I have an old car as well. 2002 to be exact but hey it only has 106,000 miles on it and we bought it new so I figure it still should have plenty of life left in it. So I will drive it till it falls apart. Big Grin

I've never eaten ground pork (unless it's breakfast sausage), so I'm no help.

I don't mean to offend you, but are you of foreign descent (ie, family whose culture is not from the US)? I ask this only because I've never bought ground pork and my Mama never bought ground pork, but I know two families that practically live on it.. One is Filipino and one is Asian. They both eat a lot of rice too, and my family bought rice (and it was instant rice) only when making one casserole dish.

Remember, I'm not an adventurous eater, and my Mama's meatloaf doesn't have any meat but beef in it.
No offense taken. But nope I am a full blooded american whose parents always fried everything and lived on mostly Beef!
However, I didn't use to eat any kind of meat but chicken/turkey. Hated beef mainly because of the fat content but also because I couldn't stand it unless it was well done and then it tasted like burnt cardboard. lol But my DH slowly converted me over to at least pork.

Actually I didn't exactly mean ground pork, although we do mix it with our ground beef for more flavor. But mainly pork products such as chops, sirloin pork, pork steaks and ribs.

But we do eat ALOT of brown rice and beans. Big Grin Saw it on the Dr's show once and now we eat it in place of potatoes (which we quite frying YEARS ago and started sauteing in Pam). We are lame I know. haha I had to do something because my guys are the meat/potatoes kind so I had to do something to fit in with what they liked. DH and I like to try different foods/recipes but my teenage son would just as soon stick with grilled meat and potatoes. So that is what we end up doing. DD is vegetarian so that is a whole other area we deal with.

Oh the dreaded midterms/finals! We just went thru this in our house. I know how stressful they are, as I had to comfort/encourage my DD this past week as well.
Sending some positive thoughts to her. hug

Morning all.

Slowtech, I asked in the Home Depot thread about the timeline, they said 243 days after the date on the sticker (8 months plus 7 days) the item will be priced at .01 cent.

Got a little snark about the question but the person even responded back with an answer. Nothing like looking like a newb all over again!
