Bernardi Honda in Natick-MA has Honda Care Extended warranties for new cars for only $1020 for a zero deductible plan and coverage for 8 yrs/120K miles. I think this is a very good price and would suggest it to someone who is in the market for an extended warranty. They also have some great deals on Pre-Owned Extended Warranties for anyone interested....

The coverage terms are listed in the pdf attached to this post.... Let me know if I forgot something....

Also check Saccucci Honda [saccuccihondacare.com] for their Honda Care prices. They have an 8-year, 120k Honda Care warranty for new Civics (with less than 6,000 miles on the odometer) for $990.

Bottom line with Honda Care is you can buy the plan from any dealer in the US, and you can have your car serviced at any Honda dealer in the US. Shop around for Honda Care the same way you shop around for a car. I'd recommend e-mailing the Internet sales departments of several dealers around the country to see how they compare with Saccucci's pricing.

Just checked Hyannis Honda Care plans and they seem to have the plans available for cheap. For a similar 8YR/120K plan, they quoted a price of $995 for a 2010 Accord.....

I purchased my Acura care warranty through them, as it was nearly $1000 cheaper than through my dealer. Bernardi's prices are generally $100 above cost, so it's about as cheap as you can get. Plus this is the real Honda/Acura warranty, not some third-party company. Normally I don't buy car warranties, but with my 09 TL AWD with tech package, $1000 for 10 years of coverage seemed like a good deal. Plus they transfer to a new owner, so that's a selling point.

How do we go about purchasing this? If I'm from CA and buy this warranty, which is out of state, can I bring it to any Honda Dealer to get my car services if it falls into the coverage category?

You can visit the Bernardi Honda website and get a quote. But you might want to check on the coverage for CA residents though..... I remember reading something about CA..... But yes, with this coverage you can get your car services at any Honda dealer....

When I bought my Honda, I purchased 8yr/120k miles warranty for $1300 but if I don't use it, I will get the $1300 back.

I believe your origainal warranty has to still be in effect. So for your pilot it was over after 3 yrs/36K miles.

On a side note, I've sworn off honda/acura ever since their tranny problems and their shitty response to a known manufacturing defect. As a matter of fact, let me take a wild guess but I bet you've already had tranny problems in your pilot, like all the honda/acura models with the same tranny in '02 & '03 year i.e. TL, CL, Odyssey, MDX, Pilot. If you didn't yet, you will. Wink

Does anyone know if I can cancel the one I bought last year (6 years/75k) and buy this one instead? I think I paid $894 for thr 6/75, so another $100 for the two years and 45k more miles is quite a deal. I am still in factory warranty on my '10 Odyssey.

Touch wood... So far no problems except transmission seal leak spent $1,000 to fix it. It has $100K miles. Gas consumption is very good - 26 miles/gallon.
