This way i can keep posting new/not yet expired (faxing/emailing expired fliers to Comcast reps will give them a good reason to deny it on the grounds of "that offer is no more") fliers here for my fellow SD'ers. Also if you get a similar flier/offer yourself (or any of your neighbors/friends/relatives do) - post it in this thread and PM me so i can put it into the first/this post(sorry not offering reward for that - but helping fellow SD'ers should be enough of a reward). What do you guys think of this plan? If i get enough reps indicating you think its a good idea - i will offer that reward to keep fliers coming!

when u cancel how long do u wait to call back? how do u know when they disconnect it?

EDIT: Just tried the Massachusetts specific number too, got shot down for that as well. GUess they really just don't care when they know there's no real competition in the area.
The trick is to use your parents info. They ask for SSN and crap like that. Different name/SSN = different owner.
I switch off periodically for the promotions. Have been working quite well for years now.

I had a great comcast rep who ASKED if I needed someone to install it for me.
I said no thank you and he just said "make sure you have proper sturdy cable wiring with insulation" and that's it. He gave me an activation code and everything. Took total of 10 minutes. Job done.
Some reps are great. Some are total rubbish.

1) when I press ch+/- in the remote, it goes thru all channel no matter I have permission or not. is there a way that I can disable those channels that I don't have permission? I hate to add those available channels one by one to fav.
2) is there any parent control that I can put a list of channels under password?

Update 6/16/2013. After calling 4 customer service reps from the 0903 number, to no avail. They all kept offering me $29.99 for a year. I called a rep this morning and he was able to get me $24.99 for six months. It's not $19.99, like I wanted, but then again it's not $64.95 like they wanted. So it's a tolerable price increase.
