The 3GS will always default to EDGE until you turn 3G on which it will attempt to scan for a 1900 3G network before falling back to EDGE. |

Yes I have iphone 3gs. I turn on 3g and then no service. Turn off phone and on again and then connects to 3g. Or connects to 3g right away with out restarting sometimes. But immediately stopps and goes to 2g. Never stays on 3g for more than 5 seconds. Even speed tests app says 40kb upload or something really slow. And download also super slow.

Couldn't find any information on this. I already had google voice number which I got using AT&T wireless number. Now I am out of AT&T service. Still that same number is listed for my google voice account. It won't even let me remove before adding another number which is fine. Now my question is how long can I keep google voice active? Are they ever going to figure out that the service to that old number is disabled? Or until someone else gets my old number (which should take at least 6 months) I can just keep using talkatone + google voice?

So I need help:
i bought optimus l9 for $200 from tmobile and they also provided $50 credit (via code) I have the unused micro sim card that came with the phone. How do i activate the walmart $30 plan? and how do i create a 'tmobile profile' does anyone have experience? |

Activate it online, including creating an online account. During the process it will give you a choice of plans, one of them being the $30 plan. You pick that, then you will need to add money to your account, that will be an option once your account is set. You will just type in the number from your refill card. |

T-mobile got access to 1900mhz because of the fallout from the previous acquisition attempt by At&t. So this will still work. Call T-mobile customer service to confirm. Also you can buy the hotspot directly from t-mobile.com as well.. if that makes you comfortable. |

They've only just begun to implement 1900mhz in very small markets right now. So odds are, unless you are in a very small minority, you won't be able to get T-Mobile on that band. |

I am a current T-Mobile customer and was on the $60 Monthly4G plan (2gb data before throttle and unlimited talk/text). I bought an activate kit from tmobile.com for $0.99 and I called up the customer service line for Monthly4G and was able to change my plan to the $30 5gb data, unlimited text, 100 min talk and keeping the same number. CSR gave me no trouble, just had to a hold for a bit so that she could get her supervisor to confirm. I chatted online first and asked them if this was possible and they said it was just couldn't do it over chat, had to do it over the phone.
Also, this was mentioned already, but http://www.airportal.de/ has a map of where T-Mobile has rolled out 1900mhz coverage. It's not official as it is created from user input but it should give you a good idea if you can use an AT&T phone and still get speedy data. |
