YES, when i activated my account i asked for the credit against my stateament ( too much work to keep track of the check etc ).

they were very very helpful, said YES, also rep signed me up for their rewards so i can earn points .. beginning to LOVE chase

I received the points automatically on my first statement.

Question: How are most users of this card paying thier bill? I do not keep a balance and wish to pay it off at the end of the month. With my card from the CU it is easy ... you just click a button and it transfers the money from my account.

How are you paying off your card?

I signed up for this back in nov/dec of 2011. Just got my 300 cashback in the form of a check by converting the points. :-)

A few days ago, there was a large thread with a deal for $350 cashback. It seems to be gone now. I contacted Chase support and they told me that the offer was fake. My girlfriend applied for the card using that link... does anyone know what is going on? Was the $350 really a fake offer?

I contacted Chase, and they told me that the offer was not legitimate... have either of you heard anything about this? Have you contacted Chase to see if they actually got your application?

Pretty sure it was legit. Some reps are just misinformed or purposely lying.

I use automatic payment so that i don't have to worry about late fees. To do this..Login to your account and click "go to the payment & transfers" on the right column, then select the tab "card payment" then select the "see automatic payments" then select the credit card you want to have automatic payments, then Hit "show" and so on....You can use your checking account from chase if you have one or other account to make the auto payment.Be sure to select the "full amount due".

I just got my Chase Freedom card. I called the number on the activation sticker to activate it and the CSR told me that when I spend $500 in the first 93 days from activation, I will get 30,000 points as I applied in that offer.

I asked her if she could bump me to $350 - and gave her the promotional code, she said that she has forwarded it to the marketing dept and I will hear back from them. Hope this doesn't affect anything/anyone.

The offer was NOT fake, it was from a valid Chase link and I got approved!

But later Chase reps claimed it was a fake link and denied future request for a bump up from the $300!

Waiting for my card, got a Welcome email as well.

I did not get the 30k points yet and my first bill is due on the 15th. Will it come on my 2nd statement? Should I call them? I spent over $600. Thanks!

I applied for the card through the $300 offer the op posted. I called the next day when the $350 offer was alive to see if I could get the promo bumped up and a senior rep told me she would have to check with the marketing department and get back to me. Got my card in the mail today and the rep confirmed the $300 after $500 promo. The rep also confirmed that the $50 I requested was added straight to my account.
