CHASE FREEDOM $300 cashback after $500 spending in 3 months

I see Chase offer these things pretty regularly, and I'm sure I'm not the only one with this question...

If you use this as your regular, every day card, is there any way to convince Chase to give you the bonus as a current customer? Is the only option to cancel the card, wait a while, then reapply for it? It seems so unfair that companies do so much to attract new business, but very little to keep current business.

I actually cancelled a chase freedom visa last week (I currently have a chase freedom mastercard), and I am really wanting to get in on this! From reading the thread, most people are saying that you wont get the promotion if you EVER had a chase freedom card before. Has anyone actually tried? Also, for anyone that has recently cancelled the same card, were you able to get in on the promotion? I know waiting a week probably wont be good enough, but, if this promotion dies soon, I would like to know for future deals!

I signed up for the card under the offer and this is what i got today when i asked about when i can expect it to be credited to my account any suggestions? Thanks in advance any info would be much appreciated.

just wondering, did you ask them when you got the card to confirm whether you had the $350 cashback with the cc?

i think the customer rep misunderstood ur question, it seems like s/he thought you wanted to sign up for it

That's exactly what happened, they said sorry about the misunderstanding and told me it would be credited within two business cycles. Thanks for the reply though! I love this forum because of the community and helpful posters!

I got 10000 points instead of 30k, but I signed up online when the offer was valid.

I called them, they issued a ticket for marketing to look into. Just sent them another message online as well. I hope this works out

I just did the same thing. I got my first statement and had 10k points posted, not 35k like the web page said when I signed up. They told me the same thing, that they were passing it on to their rewards group and that they would not guarantee me that I would receive any additional bonus points. Grrrrr....

So wait, they aren't honoring the $350 after $500?! I just blew through the $500 mark on Monday. How long before I should see something posted to the card?

Same question. I applied with the $350 offer and even had it confirmed when I called for reconsideration. Crossed the $500 mark a couple of days ago and haven't seen any rewards posted yet.

When I applied for the $350 CB I had an active Chase freedom card. I was not approved instantly (obviously) So I rang customer service. Told her I just applied for an $350 chase freedom CB offer online. She closed my old card & approved the new application for the CB.

I asked her if closing my old credit card would effect my credit, she said absolutely not.

So the rep I spoke with closed/opened old/new account for the $350 CB.
