Shell “Favorite Road Trip” Sweepstakes ~ 8/15/12 (Facebook)
Entry Period: June 20, 2012, 9:00:00 am (ET) - August 15, 2012, 11:59:59 (ET).
Open only to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older as of June 20, 2012, 12:01:00 am (EDT). Void in New Jersey, Virginia, Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.
"Like" the Shell Facebook page, enter through the Contests & Games tab - https://www.facebook.co
Complete the entry form as indicated, and type in a description of a “Favorite Road Trip” destination or memory. Entrants’ descriptions must be two hundred and fifty (250) characters or less and must refrain from derogatory language and from infringing on the intellectual property rights of others to be qualified. Submitted Essays must be unpublished, may not have won any prize or award and be original to and owned by the Entrant. Any form of plagiarism will result in automatic disqualification.
Limit of one Sweepstakes Entry per Entrant.
Eight (8) weekly free fuel for a year prizes: From June 20, 2012, 9:00 am (EDT) - August 15, 2012, 11:59:59 (EDT), eight (8) prize winners will be randomly selected weekly by the Sweepstakes Sponsor from the database of eligible Entries as outlined in these rules. The eight (8) prize winners will receive “Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasoline” for One (1) Year”. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each Prize is $2346.84.
For the purposes of this Prize, “Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasoline for one year” is calculated as the average consumer’s yearly gasoline consumption of six hundred and thirty-six (636) gallons (4.5 fuel purchases per month multiply by 11.77 gallons of gasoline per purchase multiplied by twelve (12) months) per year and at the present-day $3.69 (US) per gallon (consistent with the U.S Department of Energy statistics for regular grade gasoline as of May 28, 2012). Fluctuations in gasoline prices will not affect calculation of the prize amount.
Each Sweepstakes Prize will be rounded up to the next fifty dollars and be awarded in the form of twenty three (23) $100.00 (US) Shell Gift Cards and one (1) $50 Shell Gift Card. All terms and conditions as outlined on the back of the Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines Gift Cards apply.
