I just answered this in another post because I mentioned that I have a 12% off discount through the federation of american consumers and travelers on my DTMCSA rate plan so I thought I would share it with everybody. I'm not a member and have had this discount for over 2 years. Was super easy to add. Everybody should have at least one of the 2 I posted below Smilie

Here is how it works:

Call T-Mobile at 877-453-8824 and mention that you are a member of Federation of American Consumers and Travelers. Give T-Mobile the FACT promo code: 10045TMOFAV, if they ask for it.

FACT PHONE # 1-800-872-3228

Might be easier to add it through the online chat via tmobile.com/ (this should be no problem) but I recommend you call! Just say you have a discount code that you would like to apply to the account and just give it to them real quick and hang up, don't spend any time on the phone. Point of this is so they don't ask for further info. I added mine a while back and it seems like a hit or miss on them asking for FACT ID number.

T-Mobile did not ask me for my FACT membership number to verify membership. . If you have to join FACT to get your FACT T-Mobile discount, it is still totally worth it. FACT membership is only $12 per 3 months and you can join online at usafact.org... You can then cancel it within 60 days and get your money back, if you want. You are already a member, if your health insurance is through Golden Rule

link to sign up : https://www.usafact.org/joinnowbasic.aspx

another option :

WOrst case scenario = add the freelancers union discount which is only 10% not the 12% like the above.

*ADD THIS VIA TMOBILE.COM ONLINE CHAT*
https://be.freelancersunion.org/d...corporate/ click life then tmobile to see
You will need your t-mobile information, your member ID, name of the organization (freelancers union/ working today) and their phone number (800.856.9981)

THat's it! Completely FREE to join and only takes 2 minutes.

Everyone who has t-mobile should have at LEAST this discount. It is easy, free and completely legit.

HINT: In addition to having the phone number of the group (800-856-998) You need a member No, and the organization's discount code - 7777TMOFAV

enjoynod

I logged onto my AAA account and do not see the T-Mo offer anywhere. I think this is a regional discount for the washington and northern idaho area. Im going by the info at the bottom of the page of OPS link, bummer.

thats fine since im from oklahoma...and t-mobile in the midwest and major cities are great...its when u get into the boonies people have problems
I have tried to get every discount available, such as the free lancer's union, my employer and so on and so forth. They have pushed back against every one. But even without the discounts it's hands down the cheapest service.

And my service has been excellent in the city I live in and all the east coast cities I have visited.

Yep same here, I applied for it at the beginning of April after switching over to T-Mobile, they told me to fill out the corp discount form and send it in with a picture of my AAA membership card, I did but this last bill I didn't see the credit. Called them and was told the credit would be applied in 2-3 months so the earliest I could expect is June. Something about it takes that long to verify with AAA, we will see...
My AAA discount started in mid-October. I'm on the phone with cs now, good luck to me.

edit: T-Mobile pushed me off to AAA. The CSR said AAA messed up somewhere and I need to contact them. I spoke to 3 CSR's. The first lady told me I wasn't eligible. The next guy told me I would have to deal with AAA and then transferred me (without mentioning it) to another lady that told me the same thing. She also gave me a little comparison about how I would go about getting a deal if I went into a large chain store to get a credit, as if I was an idiot. She then placed the blame on AAA and told me I had to deal with them.

edit 2: AAA said there is no reason I should have to be in contact with them over this, it is all on T-Mobile.

awesome.

edit 3: Tweeted about this problem earlier, AAA customer care contacted me. Let's see how that goes.
edit 4: TMO contacted me as well, told me to email them. We shall see.
edit 5: TMO emailed me back, in a very short email they apologized for the delay and gave me a $50 bill credit immediately. However, I have 3 lines, the credit is for UP TO TWO LINES with at least 2GB plan, which I have. So I am still looking for the other $50 in credit.
edit 6: TMO applied the full $100 bill credit this morning.

What a headache TMO has been.

I just did PTA for 14% discount yesterday. I already had a PTA card but didn't even realize it had T-Mobile discounts until I read this thread. I filled out this form: http://www.1tmo.com/PTA/MigrationPTA.doc. Followed the directions on the form and emailed the completed form with a scanned image of my PTA card yesterday at 1:30PM. By 11:30PM, got a confirmation email that 14% discount will be applied to my monthly charges. May take up to 60 days before discount appears on my bill. This saved me $14 a month. Thanks!

Will the PTA discount work on the new simple plan? The form says it requires a 2 year extension contract.
I'm currently on tmo and my wife is going to be switching from a work-subsidized ATT phone to a self-paid tmo phone. The plan I am on, it will be cheaper for me to stay on my plan and for her to just get her own "contract free" plan.

I am getting an 8% corp discount from my employer, but obviously would like to try to get this 14%. Does this work for current members and my other question is whether you get an "electronic" version of the ID card for this, since my wife would need to be moved to tmo by Wednesday of next week, so I don't think it' would get to us in time (and I guess it's cool to be a CAPTA member living in Missouri?)

I really hope this will not be the case with me. I'm still waiting and again the May bill doesn't have the discount. TMO really needs get their act together if they want to survive.

So I joined Freelancers Union 3 months ago and tried to get the discount.
1st month nothing. I called and they said it would show up in the next billing cycle. That everything was good.
2nd month nothing. Called and they say the discount was only for new activations.
So no go for me.

I think you should fight this, it is not written that discounts are for new activation's only. call couple of times and i am sure they will fix it for you

I joined FACT to get this discount and held off cancelling until long after the refund period expired (I figured FACT should get its due). They sent me a refund check anyway. shake head

Do I need to join the national PTA for the 14% discount? Can I join my local PTA and still get the discount?

somehow when I added my corporate discount, my billing cycle end date was changed to the 7th of every month...is this the case with all regardless of which discount you have? called t-mobile & they said they couldn't change the date. is that true? lol

Can anyone confirm that corporate discounts work on the Simple Choice Plan? I was wondering because on the corporate discount form, it says that there will be a 2 year contract extension when the form is submitted.
