enter the sweeps at www.chevyoutdoors.com to win the new Silverado or Cabela's gift card. You click submit and a screen popped up (after I didn't share it with others) to do a test drive for Chevy and get a $50 Cabela's gift card WOOT! You just print that page, take it to the dealer and they will submit the test drive. I chose 1-3 months on interest in purchasing. Not sure if that tripped it, but it showed up when I did choose that.

To get your $50 Cabela's Gift Card, simply print the page and bring it to your local Chevy Dealer for a test drive. Upon completion of the the test drive, give the print out to your dealer and they will validate your test drive. Upon validation, you will receive your gift card within 4-6 weeks. Expires 12/31/12. To find your local Chevy Dealer, visit http://www.chevydealer.com

I'll bet you your $50 gift card that if you are straightforward with a salesperson your test drive will be be from one end of the parking lot to the other and you wont get any harrassing calls. They work on commission and have better things to do then hound someone that just did it for a giftcard. Just be up front with them and spare yourself the aggrivation.

What does this mean? I have the offer for the $50 to Cabela's, but I don't understand what you posted.
Look at the page you printed for the $50 certificate. There's a website there for the dealer to certify that you did the test drive. It asks for the dealer's BAC number, and salesman's name - that's all. If you have that info, you don't have to even go to the dealer - you could conceivably just enter the info yourself. I say conceivably, cause it's probably considered fraud - YMMV.

It's called saving time and not being over sold Smilie. You go for test drive and they hold you there for an hour! My hour is costlier than $50 gc Stick Out Tongue. So I take web route and complete this in about a minute. They get my info for $50 .. that's fair lol

Go figure, I just dropped $50 at Cabelas a few weeks ago on some 9mm ammo. First time I bought from them. No store within 500 miles of me either, but I assume that the cards are good for online purchases, too.

If you click on the check new inventory tab, a pop window appears, which will have the $25 gift card offer.

Here is a link to the BAC codes you need http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/d..._conti.htm. Just look up the name of a sales person on the dealership website and it should work. It worked for me.
5 minutes and a couple webpages to get $50 GC was much better than sitting at a dealer for an hour or more.

So far dealerships that show up on the "locate nearest dealer" page don't show up on that BAC list for my area. Do you think it's OK to use a BAC that doesn't show up on that map of dealers near me? I live in a rural area, don't want to mess this up. Think I can use any BAC that's near me, even though they don't show up on the map?

That was so easy. Stopped in on my way to work and told them I was kind of in a rush but spotted this incentive browsing for a volt online. Asked them if I could just get some information instead of a test drive and they said sure. Took two minutes for him to enter it and he even printed the gift card confirmation for me.

JUST A HEADS UP!

Many Auto Dealerships ask for and PHOTOCOPY your Drivers License as a required "step" to do a test drive.

ALWAYS and I MEAN ALWAYS ask for the photocopy of your license back PRIOR TO LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP. You don't need copies of your Drivers License ending up in the wrong hands, even if they are trashed at the dealership. TAKE IT HOME AND SHRED IT!

Yup, you are right. I went to get an oil change at a local Toyota dealer and saw whole bunch of driver licenses hanging on the wall. Another reason they need your driver license is because of this.... http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story...id=8777206
