Code BATX takes 25% off any car battery at Advance Auto

Most of these are listed as maintenance-free batteries.

Bank of America Customers can use BOA Amerideals and receive 10-20% cash back.

Discover Card users use ShopDiscover to receive an additional 10% back

After paying for batteries online and picking up, you can have Advance Auto Parts install the battery for free at most locations. You can trade in your old one to cover the core charge, and the charge will be refunded back to your card.

While doing the battery installation, my local AAP was also kind enough to install new terminals to replace the 10+ year old ones, at the cost of around $4 each.

Per the "Rebate Terms and Conditions":
If your rebate payment is $5.00 or greater, you will receive an American Express® Prepaid Reward Card issued by AEPCMC under license from American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. (the "Reward Card").

Do you have to mail in anything for the rebate? I noticed in one place it said to mail documentation by 1-31-2013 but I didn't see anything to mail in.

Perfect timing for me. The battery for the VW New Beetle was a bit pricier, but the discounts worked out nicely.

The price before rebate came out with taxes and fees to $131, making it about $30 cheaper than Costco or Sears. After rebate gets the price close to the Sam's Club price.
(Note that the batteries at all of these locations range widely in quality/comparability)

Good luck!

I got one for my Jeep Grand Cherokee for $73 after the $40 discount, $25 rebate and 6% back from E B a t e s .com! I tried filling out the rebate form, but it asks for register number which will be on my receipt. I did a $20 rebate on a jug of oil using their same online submission system and I remember being confused about whether I had to mail anything in to get the rebate, I didn't, and got the card a little while back. Its an American Express, I can't get it to work at a gas station even using credit inside with an exact $20 purchase but there is $20 on it and then used it at Wal Mart no problem.

I'm only getting a $25 discount on my gold battery purchase. I wonder why?
The core charge doesn't count towards the 110 fyi so you need some fillers

Thanks for posting. I got one for my JGC as well and was wondering what needed to be mailed in because there was reference to a postmark but no mailing instructions in the rebate form.

Great deal! Their rebates take quite a while, so make sure to be patient.

This deal popped up just in time. I was about to go to the store to get a new battery for my '72 GMC. Thanks OP! Saved me $40 plus the rebate.

Same as the cost of getting the footlocker guy to install your shoes. Assuming you can't tie your own shoes of course, for those who can't "install" a car battery.

Good deal though I hate MIR. These batteries are usually good quality but I have had one crap out in me after a year or so. But they replaced it for free.
Advance says they'll install the battery for free on their website so that's nice. And while it's easy to swap batteries on a car with clean battery terminals I've seen some pretty rusted up horrors before lol.

Just picked up a 700CCA model for my car for $55 after rebate and cashback...only got 4% cashback cuz I didn't realize there were higher offers but whatever. I'm pretty much just replacing my battery every 5 years as a precautionary measure since I don't really wanna get stuck in the middle of nowhere in the freezing cold.
