This dress will need some modification at the shoulders. I have wide shoulders, so it really shouldn't slip off my shoulders, but if I move a bit, it does. Quick fix, where you see in the pic, and I'll sew it at the top, removing a bit of excess fabric. I think this dress runs a size too big. I would have ordered a size L, but they didn't have any instock, so I ordered a size M, and it feels slightly too large up top, even with my size chest. I feel like I could fit a pair of DDD in here! This dress is also dangerously short, if I bend over, the free seamless panty that came with my orders will show. There is a hidden blue side zipper which I didn't notice, but I see it in the picture. I love this type of anti-wrinkle fabric. I will be keeping this, and will wear with leggings underneath, and a pair of mid calf boots.
Thanks for the polo info. I think we've decided to throw the girls in the store a bone. I have a box rounded over to return in just my name. (We'll wait a while on the stuff in his name.) Only two of them will be an exchange, & that's due to getting one so cheap & the other with a reward. I told DH I'd print out a coupon & he could use that & our rewards to buy the polos in store. It will still be a good deal & it will help them out a little. I always feel bad for them, when we return so much to the store. I just hope he can get there this weekend, while they're on sale.
ETA: Now that I think about it... do they get credit for purchases paid for with rewards? If not, I'll just buy the polos online.
4" FRAYED CUFF WHITE DENIM SHORTS http://www.express.com/clothing/4.../cat320019 I ordered these in a 2. (For reference, a 0 is the best fit for me in the 4 1/2" shorts.) They fit good on my waist & I love the length. It takes work to pull them up over my hips, but they don't look tight in that area when I get them on. Plus, they'll relax a little with wear. Even if they don't, they're not too small. There's no way I could get a 0 over my hips though. A 4 would be too big in the waist. I just happened to have on light buff panties, & there was no show through with those. I'll have to try them with darker panties later to see how much they show. These are a definite KEEP & my favorite Exp. shorts so far.
STRIPED KNIT PEPLUM TOP http://www.express.com/clothing/s.../cat610008 in Panama Beige. This is another favorite. It's my favorite peplum top to date, because it's the only one that looks nice w/o altering it. I got it in S. The stretch fabric really helps us bustier girls. Some of the fabric in the waist can pull to the chest area. This makes the sides look kind of ruched, but gives the illusion that it fits my torso better. KEEP & going to buy black.
ZIP BACK PEPLUM TOP http://www.express.com/clothing/z.../cat320057 in Bali Blue. (I don't remember if I reviewed this earlier, but I tried it on again last night.) This was yet another peplum top where I'm in between sizes. The reviews say it runs big, so I ordered XS. It fits perfectly in the torso, but mashes my chesticles. There's no stretch to allow extra fabric to pull from other areas. I could go up to a S, but I'd have to alter the sides again. I'm just going to return it & forget it. That's a bummer, because I really like it. I'm just getting tired of having to alter them. RETURN
STRETCH COTTON SKATER DRESS http://www.express.com/clothing/s.../cat550001 in S. This dress is so cute & really flattering. It's also very comfortable. It will be perfect for the beach. I'm going to buy a hot pink belt to match the back zipper. I tried it on with one of my skinny belts & it looks much better with the added splash of color. After trying this one, I'm going to buy more colors. I'm just not sure which ones. KEEP
