I really have a TON of empathy for my boss in Los Angeles right now. The wonks are gonna try to re-write stuff that's working perfectly fine, just because the code is ugly as fark. Let them go ahead and see where that gets them. It's a hell of a difficult, finicky, and ugly application, but at least it farking works. Messing with the wrong parts of it will cause them tons of grief, and that's if they don't get themselves fired or just quit.

I'm really not looking forward to my new assignment. It's Java and a truly farking tangled mess of code. My only salvation is a co-worker in the next cube who's a true wizard with this stuff. He's going to help ease me into working with it, eventually.

Not hardly. Right now I manage millions of dollars of credit transactions, and I have a lot of free time, often. The new stuff will be generating the statements for the paying customers, and I won't have a lot of free time, anymore. Frown It will be good to be busy again, but it's gonna be a helluva adjustment for me.

As soon as I saw the previews with multiple flying guys in metal suits, I knew they'd go for the overkill angle and just try to amaze you with too much flash. I've enjoyed the interplay between Tony Stark and Pepper Potts in the first two movies, I hope there's at least a bit more of it in this one.

In other rain-soaked news, the Barves finally beat the Dodgers to sweep them out of Atlanta. They had an explosive eighth inning, including a squeeze bunt with the bases loaded to score another run.
