Love at First Bite Contest (18+) - 3/1/13 (FB) *Essay*

The “Love at First Bite Contest” (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry.
The Contest begins on 1/24/13 and ends at 11 pm PT on 3/1/13.
Limit of one Entry per contestant.
... write and upload a phrase, sentence, or sentences to complete the following statement: “My most memorable moment with a fig is ____________.” Include the introductory statement in your entry. Any Entry must be in English, using a maximum of 50 words (including the introductory statement mentioned above). It may be fictional or based on a real-life event and figs can be dried or fresh. We want to see memorable, inspiring, and unique writing about figs and you. Your Entry may be serious, funny, satirical, passionate … whatever works for you. T
Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
• Uniqueness
• Creativity
• Emotional reaction of judges (cry, laugh, applaud, etc.!)
• Involvement of figs
Winner will be notified by email.
One Grand Prize Winner and their One Guest will receive a 3-day/2-night “Taste of Boston” trip May 12-14. It will include a trip to Boston to watch a filming of Chris Kimball’s America’s Test Kitchen. Prize includes admittance for two into the taping of the show, round-trip coach air transportation for 2 from the major U.S. commercial airport closest to winner’s residence; 3 days/2 nights’ standard double-occupancy hotel accommodations; and $500.00 spending money. Total combined approximate retail value of prize is $3,500. Actual value will be determined by winner’s residence and seasonal rates.
America’s Test Kitchen will present the winner with an America’s Test Kitchen apron, a cookbook signed by Christopher Kimball and the America’s Test Kitchen staff, a one-year subscription to Cook’s Country magazine, and a one-year membership to CooksCountry.com.
Cook’s Country will provide each of Two Second Prize Winners with an America’s Test Kitchen apron, a selection of three cookbooks signed by Christopher Kimball and the Cook’s Country test kitchen staff, and a one-year subscription to Cook’s Country magazine.
Ten Third Prize Winners will each receive The New Best Recipe cookbook and Blue Ribbon Orchard Choice and Sun-Maid California fig products selected by Sponsor.
All winners will be notified by email.
