I posted this in the lounge in the wee hours of the morning last night, but felt that I should have posted it in the coupon section. I look and did not see anything about this being posted,so if its a repost,sry....

I know some people have had problems using internet coupons at Wal-Mart. Well they do take them.

This should solve any problems that you may have had at the checkouts in the past. Copy, paste and print this out and next time you go to Wal-Mart take this with you...Good Luck!

The Walmart store we regularly shop at (weekly) does not take most coupons in general, whether manufacturer coupons, Internet coupons, or otherwise. We have had many discussions with the store manager and the regional manager, and they just don't care about the situation. A letter to Walmart corporate office resulted in a $20 gift card for the hassle, but no promise to talk to the managers or any indication that any action would be taken.

So far they have refused to accept:
Any coupons for free products (manufacturer's, Internet, newspaper, insert, or otherwise)
Internet coupons printed from the Walmart website
Any coupons for more than $1 off any product (manufacturer's, Internet, newspaper, or otherwise)
Any coupons used on sale or clearance items
Any coupons that do not scan the first time they are scanned

I had problems with internet coupons myself this past weekend. The cashier actually asked me if they were copied. I kept my cool and let her know I didn't plan on going to jail for 50cents off my peanut butter. She read each coupon but they all scanned but one. Had to call the 20yr old manager for that one and he said they don't take internet coupons at all. I said your coupon policy states you do. And the majority came from the walmart website itself. He told me they had several fake coupons come thru the past week, but they took all of mine even the non scanning one. I would have just left and gone to another store that does take printed coupons if they refused my legal coupons. No problemo. Kinda ruined my coupon buzz though.

The corporate coupon policy doesn't really count for much when individual store personnel make up their own rules (and often get adamant indicating "oh that doesn't apply to us")

Thanks for pointing this out. I think a lot of people in retail don't even know all their policies so assume that they can't accept certain things.

i really hate couponing at walmart something always happens because the employees don't know their own policy and make up stuff or they claim the coupon doesn't work just because they are too lazy to scan it -_- bay area walmarts suck.

Just yesterday the cashier was screaming to another one in a different lane shouting do we take internet coupons. Ridiculous -_-

Anyone have issues with the cashier scanning a printed out coupon from a coupon site? I've had it work before but recently the woman tried to scan the coupon several times and it wouldn't work.. not sure if it was too crumbled up or what.. Shouldn't she be able to put numbers into the computer to make the coupon work anyways?

I ended up just saying oh well.. and paying the extra couple dollars.

Walmart can be really really sometime-y with their coupon policies. The one near my home takes nothing. The one 7 miles away takes damn near everything. Pretty frustrating

my walmart will not match a price without a print copy of the weekly ad from another store... I have tried to use the bestbuy app with the weekly ad and they would not accept it.... it was clearly the same exact item....

Not only do they accept them, if you are at the Walmart.com main page and scroll down near the bottom of the page there is a topic called "Money-saving tips & ideas," at the bottom of that subject you can click on "Printable Coupons"
http://coupons.walmart.com/?povid...17.2986-L4

Also note that near the top of the coupons found at the Walmart.com website it says in all caps "ADVERTISEMENT" and these are considered In-Store Coupons for Walmart stores. I'm sure there's some law firm out there that would love to go class action on this if some Walmarts don't want to follow their own policy
