Kurips, they shipped me 1 of the Raisin Rapture lipstick, so they're going to refund it.. Also, this just gets better, the color isn't EVEN CLOSE to what it shown as the color for Raisin Rapture, it looks like the color Spice, but with a bit of light glitter in it... so wrong color, wrong quantity, but free... I might use it for a crazy Halloween look.. very very dark..
you have any more loreal coming? i've received lip colors in packs of 1, 2 and 5 laugh out loud

Pretty amazing dresses at WHBM, no? Such a step up form express right now, and the prices are super good, if you can find what you're looking for in your size. I just bought two more stresses there this weekend...I now have a tub of "work clothes," since I can be so casual right now.

Anyway, glad I could help. Between WHBM and Cole Haan, I'm over my fashion budget, but I haven't bought that many things that I love this much so it's totally worth it Smilie
Big step up nod There are still a few things I want from EXP, but I'm not falling all over myself for them... esp. since I'm usually struggling to figure out what undergarment (top and bottom) will work. With these dresses and the extra lining - nowhere near as big of a problem! Much more practical. Also will be great for cooler weather. I'd like to wear sweater dresses but they can be so clingy and show everything...and if they're not they're too chunky and boxy Tongue

Your "dresses" typo is so spot on laugh out loud Shopping is such a stressor! I'm supposed to be paring down but those were too classic to pass up nod

Welcome back from the bat cave Wave
Your comments on the WHBM dresses are making me consider them again when it's on sale!

Do the instant slimming ones have a lot of fabric to hold everything in?

On average, about how much did it come out to per piece?
Wave I'm not out for good. I have a hard cookie deadline coming up EEK!
IMO, it depends on how tight you wear it. I bought both 0 and 2 and like the others said - could wear either, just for a different look/purpose. I have enough "going out" dresses so I think I'll be keeping the larger size. If you go for the smaller size, you definitely feel the "slimming" of it- not uncomfortable though, but yes, I can tell there's a bit of fabric working hard mostly on my but it seems Coverlaugh The larger size I can barely feel it, but like the extra lining. I would not wear these on a hot CA day... except maybe the cheap black and white ruched floral... that one was way thinner than the others. I think if you get a pattern, slimming is probably not that big a deal since they hide so much.

Pricing is around $30 - 35/each. The black and white floral was low $20s, the striped ercru was mid $30s and polka dot was high $30s

What is a lug nut? Sorry, I'm dumb when it comes to cars.

...
Funny enough, it's in that photo you posted earlier that I reposted below laugh out loud If you look at the center of the hubcap, the lug nuts hold the bolts on. The bolts/lugnut combo holds the wheel and it's hubcap to the axel of the car. If people want to change a tire or steel your "wheels", they would prop up your car with a jack and take those nuts and then slide it off the bolts. If you have a locking lug nut on each wheel, there is a special "key" that they would need to put on the end of their torque wrench to get that 1 bolt off. That does make me wonder if some stupid person tried to steal SH's wheels and they didn't notice the locking lugnut until they got to it Scratchhead

I thought of another random alvsy driving story today.
One time when I was in college I wrecked a rental car. I was driving it because I had wrecked my car LMAO.
Neither were my fault thank goodness but I was very traumatized.
I called my dad hysterically crying. I'd been hit twice in two weeks.

No problem! People use car terms pretty loosely and it makes me forget how things work so I had to look this one up to make sure I got it right. Wink2

Thanks. Those are amazing prices for quality dresses! I don't like floral patterns in general and I don't like colorblocking either Tomato I am more of a solid one color piece kinda gal. Maybe a contrasting trim or something. Stripes are also a no go. Thanks for the tips in the no wear in hot CA weather. Maybe I should go in store to try one on if I'm ever around oneโ€ฆ

Yeah, sweater dresses are difficult sometimes, but can be so cute and cozy when worn right. I usually do tights. Helps hide any lines and helps when gorging on food!

I haven't really found anything at Express aside from sweaters for a while now. It's probably better this way. Waiting for Columnist to go BOGO.

Stealing wheels are a scary thing. I initially thought wheel locks would replace ALL lug nuts and I was surprised it's the only one. What if something like SH happened to me! Yikes! Good thing I've decided against any after market anythings since my car accident. Not worth it to fix up a car already in an accident.

Good luck on the cookies!

omg! I have to read about it... this stuff is really really scary.. It makes me think of the intro of 'I AM LEGEND', how the Dr.'s are all positive and upbeat, and how everything's perfect, and right now, all the leading Dr's are saying, "It's virtually impossible for it to go airborne. Very unlikely for it to mutate".. and all I keep thinking, if they save those clips, it'll be part of the next doomsday movie..

I'm sick right now, and so is the baby, DH is coming down with the cold, and it's scary how easy it is to get sick with a regular cold..

It's scary for sure. Nothing I want to mess with. I'll go stay at my dad's. Nobody comes out there.

When my daughter was in high school, on her way to school one morning her car was hit by a woman..the woman was 100% at fault and kept repeating that to my daughter, police, etc. My daughter had an after-school job so she took my car to work the next day. A man comes in to the store and says "Who's Volvo is that? I hit it". Mine of course. My poor daughter felt like she had a target on her back.

hug poor thing.

I was stopped at a light and got rear ended. My car was practically new too. I think I'd had it 2 months. Then when in the rental someone changed lanes on me. It was like slow motion but it couldn't do anything because of traffic.

ALVS, what a traumatizing week that must have been!! My goodness!

Azn, this is really good pricing for the WHBM dresses. I've been following them for a while, and they never get this low and usually sell out before they get marked down this many times. I bought that black/white stripe dress for $80 right after Christmas (I had some sort of 25% off coupon as well). My stores are completely out of the ones that are less than $60. They all fit me mostly the same. Try some on in the store to get a feel for sizing. I made black book when I bought an expensive bridesmaid dress but later returned it. They never took away my black book membership, which gives me an extra 5% off and free shipping on anything. Later, I rebought the dress for half off. WHBM restockes sizes daily in the morning, so that's your best chance. I'll keep posting deals here, but I doubt the dresses get this cheap again for a while.

when i browse whbm it looks like i'm doing a lot of wikipedia research. i usually have multiple windows open and the W in the tab looks just like wikipedia! Teehee

it's also good to note that their instant slimming line sizing runs very different from their regular line. regular runs large (and isn't great for my body type - it's smaller up top than everywhere else while i generally need larger up top) while instant slimming runs small.
