Stranger Things (Netflix Original): I don't usually like horror stuff but this show was excellent, it had that Goonies, ET, X-Files, etc. feel to it. - 4.5
House of Cards (Netflix Original): One of the best TV shows ever, the cast and story line are excellent. It's very loosely based on a UK political series that was good but this US politics version has taken the show to a whole new level - 5/5
Longmire: One of my faves, it's a bit wild west, a bit murder mystery. The show centers around a Sheriff in Wyoming who has to balance local politics, crimes and his own inner demons. Excellent show that originally aired on A&E then was picked up by Netflix who added new seasons. They are currently filming season 5. - 5/5
Orange is the New Black (Netflix Original): Good show, some unevenness in the story lines but the sort of show that draws you into the characters lives. 3.5/5
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt(Netflix Original): Very campy, yet amusing and some good laughs, lot's of cultural references so it might not hold up will over time but it was fun. - 3/5
Dark Matter: TV show that Netflix has picked up so they won't have all of the seasons yet but it's a good show. We started watching it on TV and have really liked it, sort of a space mystery show, the people on board (spoiler ahead) - 4/5
Master of None (Netflix Original): Based on the life of comedian Aziz Ansari and staring him, it centers around his life in NYC. Funny, weird in a good way and enjoyable. - 3.5/5

Netflix originals Jessica Drake and especially Daredevil. Watch them in order though for maximum effect, as there is some cross pollination between the stories.
Daredevil Season 1
Jessica Drake Season 1
Daredevil Season 2
Netflix also has all but maybe the last season of the Agents of Shield, which is also highly enjoyable.
I also liked Dark Matter, I found it to be similar in many respects to Firefly, but more serious. Some of the main characters are analogous to the Joss Whedon series.
I've also enjoyed Orphan Black, especially the first two seasons. It's still good beyond that, but some of the plot lines are starting to stretch thin in the later seasons.

I'll also second all Netflix's Marvel shows, Kimmy Schmidt, Orange is the New Black. Heck, so far I think all of Netflix's original shows have been pretty good!
We just started watching Pokémon! Just a few episodes in, but it is just too silly and cute!

The Returned - check out the French version(with subtitles). Right amount of creepiness and mystery but with no zombie eating madness like Walking Dead.
The Americans - this might be the most "adult" show i've ever watched, and i mean that in the most flattering way possible. if you're looking for any kind of comedy other than very dark, go elsewhere, but if you enjoy incredibly realistic portrayals of difficult relationships and situations with characters who are easy to empathize with, i'm not sure you can do much better. there are definitely arcs/characters i enjoy more than others, but it is an incredibly well-run show and may hold my series record for number of times i thought "there's no way it's been 43 minutes already."
The Boondocks - a farcical, sometimes-harsh, always-sharp satirical look at black culture in america as told through a grandfather, his two grandsons, and a cast of supporting characters. it can be difficult in an entirely different way, with writers liberally using the n-word and exploring some of the more uncomfortable aspects of the culture in a hyperbolic and cynical slant. not for the easily offended.
also, i just saw that season three of BoJack Horseman is dropping this week. hooray.
standard "if you haven't tried these, you should" list:
- 30 Rock
- Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown
- Archer
- Black Mirror
- Breaking Bad
- Community
- Deadwood
- Freaks and Geeks
- Futurama
- Parks and Recreation
- Rick and Morty
- Scrubs
- The League
also: WTF, based on Flixsearch, you Netflix people don't get A Young Doctor's Notebook, Chappelle's Show, Justified, Louie, Rescue Me, Seinfeld, South Park, The Knick, The Wire, Treme, or You're the Worst? savages! The Americans - this might be the most "adult" show i've ever watched, and i mean that in the most flattering way possible. if you're looking for anything but very dark comedy, go elsewhere, but if you enjoy incredibly realistic portrayals of difficult relationships and situations with characters who are easy to empathize with, i'm not sure you can do much better. there are definitely arcs/characters i enjoy more than others, but it is an incredibly well-run show and may hold my series record for number of times i thought "there's no way it's been 43 minutes already."

And I'll always second The Americans. One of my favorite shows ever.
