Doubtful. Probably just trying to capitalize on the recent bill.

There is a PIA 2 years for $51 that would probably be the best deal right now.

Do you mean their full review (http://www.pcmag.com/review/34481...-unlimited)? I can't find those cons you mentioned.

I personally picked up that deal; I can totally recommend PIA, it's great. I thought this would be another alternative for people who are looking for something maybe not as expensive and longer lasting. At least this will get them thru a few years for the cost of a meal + drink. Unfortunately PIA's offer is just for new customers.

I'm reading the description for this PIA, but am confused as to what this does that the unlimited VPN deal doesn't. Isn't all your browsing data hidden and encrypted with either option? Maybe I'm missing something.

I believe that KeepSolid VPN would allow you to do things on the internet which the admin (work) can't see or log. However, KeepSolid will still "see" what you are doing. The difference is that PIA doesn't allow themselves to see your traffic. I believe that is the difference.

Honestly, my comment was a kneejerk reaction to the comment above about them keeping logs. Earlier in the day I was looking at VPN deals and saw that PIA deal was still active.

When it comes down to it, it depends on what you are using the VPN for. For many people that is bittorrent to access movies and tv that are not currently available or they just don't want to pay for. In that case, you would not want a VPN that keeps logs as you could still get copyright notice.

At the end of the day, the best VPN is the one with the fastest servers, so do your research and if this company seems legit, I would say go for it.
