You need a new PSU. this has 300 watts and switching out PSU on these are a pain.
I've read that ppl are tripping on the OCING....if I drop a 1070 or 1080 in this will a non OCD i5 matter?

Never really had a problem and had it for 6 years already.
I replaced the power supply because i made many upgrades to my desktop over the couple of years that and it seemed like it started going out about 1.5 years ago.
I bought an asus a couple of months back for the office and it failed in a couple of days i guess i was unlucky.
Acer and HP home user desktops are pretty much the same internally.
Hp business computers are a bit better quality though
Acer is fine... if anything i would just worry about the cheap power supply i know they had a 450 watt 80+ certified a couple of days ago for $20-$24
