Have you ever purchased a mattress online?

And if so, how's that working for you? Sleep like a baby? Want to punch a baby?

I've been to several B&M stores here in the last few days and kinda/sorta narrowed it down but of course they all have different names even if it's the same mattress. Annoyed

They are soooo much cheaper online. But are they as good?

I bought a cheap-o mattress online for a spare bed that is barely ever used. If I were using it, I'd be disappointed with it, but since it's not for me I was happy with the price and it's good enough!

Twice from Wayfair. Shipping is speedy and the price was better. Highly recommend. BTW, memory foam allegedly causes all sorts of health problems and NASA stopped using it. That's the word on the net. You never know. I avoid it.
I researched several memory foam companies (and the choice of a memory foam mattress) about a year ago, and I never saw any credible evidence that modern ones cause any health problems. From what I could tell, that was mostly traditional spring manufacturers/sellers making stuff up to keep people paying a bundle for a traditional mattress. The worst I saw from actual customers was cheapo units keeping their smell for longer than expected.

I ended up getting a Tuft & Needle queen and have been quite happy with it. Never experienced the supposed downfalls of memory foam (extended off-gassing, weak edges, overheating, etc.) I'd definitely recommend it to anyone in the market. However, based on OP's comments above, she's not interested in foam.

Since Al is getting screwed by the bat-shit crazy woman, she might as well have a good mattress. laugh out loud

I thought about buying one from this link in another Lounge thread. Some pretty good reviews and not too expensive either.

My last 2 mattresses were purchased online. One was a cheap memory foam from Overstock. It was marked as "Serta" online but the tag was marked Sleep Innovations when I received it. I slept very well on it but it wore down in about 5 years.

Late last year I bought a Brooklyn Bedding "Best Mattress Ever" after doing a ton of research. I settled on it because the company has been in business a long time, they have a 120 day no questions asked return period, and I could choose whatever firmness I wanted. I bought the firm which they say is on a 8 out of 10 on the firmness scale. I was going to buy the medium firmness (6 out of 10) but a chat rep asked me about sleeping habits, health issues, etc and suggested the firmest option so I figured I'd give it a shot.

I wasn't a huge fan at first and actually contacted customer support to discuss a return and they sent me a 2" gel memory foam topper to try out first. I tried that out and still wasn't quite sold so I took it off. After that, the bed seemed a lot better and now I love it. I think I just needed to adjust to such a supportive mattress after sleeping on a worn memory foam mattress for awhile.

I did just look at their website and it appears they're swapping the latex in their mattresses for some new foam. I don't know anything about it so I can't really make a recommendation but if you can get one of their older latex mattresses, you'll probably be happy.

Nah. It's been awhile but if you Google... Of course people are allergic to everything these days but I can't even sleep on an air mattress. My mattress is 100% cotton with Borax as the regulatory flame retardant.

I am worried about off-gassing though. From what I have read, it's worse with foam but still, a lot to think about. My parents think I should buy a used mattress so I don't have to worry about it, but seriously .... a USED matress. vomit

Went with a W Hotels mattress (whoever makes it) when there was a great deal a few years ago. I like it but don't love it.
High Five I bought a mattress from W Hotels too, in fact bought 2 sets. I bought the plush pillow top and love it. It's been almost 10 years now and I probably should buy a new one but I still love my bed.

Would emelvee's used mattress be gross? Depends...

also, speaking of off gassing...
