DH is off work until Wednesday too. We're just going to putter around the house, getting stuff done that has been put off for far too long. Might go see the fireworks but will probably be too lazy to go, if our past track record is anything to go by. laugh out loud

no fireworks anywhere in Central Texas, because of the drought Ohmy normally I'd invite a few people over to watch from my deck, I've got a great view down the lake to where they do the fireworks, but not an option when there are no fireworks Doh

How many fires do you think they'll have which are started by illegal fireworks? Some people never listen or either don't care or are just stupid. We've already had some fireworks going off here, even though it's illegal to set them off in the city limits.

It's that time. Night ML. Bye

Iagree more than they should, that's for sure. EEK!

in other developments, they have at least one ticket available for the three day davis cup US vs Spain match here in Austin, July 8th, 9th and 10th. of course, it's at the $425 price level EEK! probably available because I don't see Nadal as listed as playing. it does show Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish and the Bryan brothers for the US, Ferrer and Verdasco the most noteable for Spain Scratchchin I bet they're great seats and it'd be entertaining, I'm not sure if it's $425 entertaining Dontknow

We went out for lunch, not a good idea, see other thread. Then we picked up some groceries for the weekend. DH is going to do a brisket on the grill tomorrow. Not too exciting but DH is burned out from too much work, so we're just relaxing for a few days.

DH was really the productive one today. He loaded up my SUV with stuff for the dump (old toilets we had replaced with new ones, broken shelving, etc.) and took it all this morning in one load. On the way home, he bought a bunch of mulch and fertilizer. All I did was say what to keep and what to dump. Night AMT. Bye

DH spent all day grilling a brisket. Considering it was his first attempt at doing a brisket he did a wonderful job. I went shopping for sheets and checked out a used bookstore. All in all, a really exciting day. laugh out loud

High Five I watched tennis and soccer and got groceries. I was so happy they showed the men's doubles finals from wimbledon, I really enjoy doubles tennis, it's so fast paced, has different strategy, and in some cases, IMO, is a better show of skill, where singles is a bigger test of endurance and speed, it's a lot hard to pick a shot out to beat two people than it is to beat one person on the other side of the net

Before DH and I got married, he promised that he would only watch three types of sports per year. He chose F1 (of course), football and cycling (although he only watches the Tour de France) and it worked for a while. Then he got into watching poker, specificaly the World Series of Poker championship in Las Vegas. When I asked him which other sport he was going to give up, he tried to convince me that the Tour de France wasn't a sport, it was a show about French tourism. laugh out loud
