Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

It's not 1-year free service since you have to pay at least 2 months before the discount kicks in.

A lot of you will be getting surprise bills for almost $120

It will be good to know the source of this information?
Also, if they were to bill within 30 days, I will port out my numbers immediately within the 30 day period.

After a long time maybe over 10 years, I am trying Sprint again. If they were to bill again, I will never look back to Sprint.

Initially, my Google Pixel on Verizon showed as ineligible for the offer. However, after trying again, it went through the system. I hope they do not mess and add too many charges like you are saying. If they do, then bye bye to Sprint once for all. If they were to do this, they will be digging their own grave.

Sprint in Austin has been pretty good and I've been with them since the late 90s. It's been better here than Verizon and ATT. Don't know about T-Mobile.

You guys realize Verizon started from a merger of several of the worst companies ever in GTE, Airtouch paging, and Bell Atlantic. If you want the highest bill possible go with Verizon with ATT not far behind.

Good luck, I do think they won't overcharge you. This discount they mentioned was $5 auto pay.

Two lines

Just got off with Sprint CHAT.
Estimated $15 a month for Sprint Surcharges and fees
Estimated $16.50 taxes and additional fees. (they figure taxes on the undiscounted monthly amount...$60 + $40 for 2nd line and then tack on some other things that are not REALLY taxes)

So it goes from Free to $31.50 before any other bogus charges per month. Versus my current $20+$15 for two lines on FI +$10/GB. No additional charge international roaming, and free data-only sims. Currently FI still fits me better. but YMMV of course.

All the iPhone 6 A1549 have CDMA radios, it was just the att and tmobile versions we're not allowed/supported by Sprint at the time. If I'm wrong I'm wrong but they support CDMA now.
It is still missing band 41.
Check on tello checker.

Tello says my phone will work on it, but need a CDMA Sim. I assume it will work on Sprint too. Does it mean the voice call can be made thru not only LTE Data channel but also CDMA radio? The reason I concern about that I only use cellphone, no landline. I want to be sure I can receive phone call even if the data signal is weak. TIA.

How much is activation? I think someone said $30 but that might include the sim?

I'm getting cold feet, but this scenario really only applies to me since I have to unlock my phone. $10 sim + $30 activation + $40 unlock (I have an unactivated locked Tmo iphone) + $5.60 one month at TPO + $10/month sprint fees/tax = $205.60 or $17/mo. If TPO doesnt work, then I have to port somewhere else like MetroPCS? That would increase the cost.

Where did you see this?
Those of you who remember the old Sprint Framily plans can tell you that promo billing works by charging you full price for service and then doing a line-item discount. On that promo the discount took 2-3 billing cycles before it went into effect. The terms for this 1-year plan has similar wording (2 billing cycles). Additionally, you will be charged taxes and fees on the full price despite not paying anything which could amount to $10-30/month.

Now I asked a chat rep and they affirm the discount starts from the 1st month. YMMV. Be aware of the surprise bill and long calls to CS.

Activation is waived, but I believe its given back as a bill credit.

To especially those who have already successfully activated on this deal: can the phone you used to first sign-up be different than what you ultimately activated the Sprint SIM card on?

I want to move away from T-Mobile. My Nexus 6 active on T-Mobile is "not eligible" per Sprint eligibility page despite listed among the eligible devices. Sprint CS (online chat) said that the phone is not eligible because it was not purchased from T-Mobile.

Now, I have a Pixel XL active on Verizon, which is "eligible" when supplied with my T-Mobile phone number on the Sprint eligibility page.

So, I'm thinking that I could place the order on this deal using the T-Mobile phone number but with Verizon Pixel phone IMEI. Since Verizon Pixel comes naturally unlocked, I'll activate the Sprint SIM with it, then move the SIM to my Nexus 6.

Would that work?
