Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yes it can be done, but requires a little planning.. since you can't port out of T-Mobile for ~8weeks (waiting for rebate) and Sprint's offer ends 6/30.

It can be done. Here are the steps:
  1. Start VZ acct, finance Pixel.
  2. Open new T-Mobile acct Pixel promo, Port number from VZ to T-Mobile.
  3. Pay VZ final bill + Pixel finance balance.
  4. Apply T-Mobile Pixel payoff rebate.
  5. Start Sprint 1YR free with Pixel IMEI and different number to port-in to Sprint.
  6. Pay a couple of T-Mobile monthly bills.
  7. Receive T-Mobile rebate. (~8weeks)
  8. Cancel T-Mobile acct and number.
  9. 3 hard credit pulls. (One by Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint)
  10. In the end, will have 1 Pixel and 1 year of Sprint service!
Anyone brave enough to attempt this?!
way too much work to get a free phone and almost free cellular service, with potentially so many things could go wrong in between...

OK I get that everyone is worried about the prepaid vs postpaid situation. I can get around that by switching to verizion plan for 1-3 days, get the activation fee refunded, and just pay the fees/taxes for those 1-3 days.

However, what about the two promotions that were mentioned earlier in the thread that you can use for activating a new sprint line. Specifically these promotions:

https://promo.sprint.com/Registration/DisplayLanding?ECID=vanity%3AAAdvantage&LandingPartial=AAdvant... [sprint.com]

http://www.lovemycreditunion.org/...ashrewards

Does anyone know if these promotions will work with this 1-year free deal? or will activating the above promotions remove the 1-year free deal? Also, can you use both promotions above or are you only allowed to do one of them?

I'm currently with a pre-paid MVNO. How do you recommend I transfer over to a post-paid service before swapping to Sprint? What's the cheapest post-paid carrier I can swap to?
Take look at my other post. Gave pretty detailed way.

Okay bud. I know what you'll be doing and saying when you get your first bill. Just know that bs isn't going to fly... Get mad at me all you want... Won't change anything... If you've already done it, it is what it is, right? Like I said, I hope it works out for everyone else.
I'm not mad at you. At all.

Gotta read your promo deals. If I remember right, the Verizon phone payment plan has to have been active at least 60 days before you can qualify for TMO paying it off.

"Get out of the Red" new promo has 60-day Verizon requirement. Does the old Pixel payoff have the same 60-day requirement? If yes, then all of this only works for 60-day+ VZ existing customers. wootwoot

Tello says my phone will work on it, but need a CDMA Sim. I assume it will work on Sprint too. Does it mean the voice call can be made thru not only LTE Data channel but also CDMA radio? The reason I concern about that I only use cellphone, no landline. I want to be sure I can receive phone call even if the data signal is weak. TIA.
The CDMA should work for voice and text. I don't want to say 100% since there are conflicting reports. I don't know why Sprint would list as compatible if CDMA didn't work. Also people have used an Att and tmobile iPhone 6 on Verizon and gotten CDMA not just LTE.
The reason I believe tech specs said no CDMA is because at release Verizon and Sprint would not allow other carriers iPhones on their networks. They do now.
Maybe another sder has had success to share.
I haven't experienced it myself.

well thanks for the help but I cant find a way to send a message to tmobile without signing up for an account on their website and it wont let me do that without a tmobile phone number.
my best advice is to go to a tmobile store and just tell them you own this phone, it's all paid off, and you need to have it unlocked. they will ask your personal info, check to see if the phone is paid off, etc, and they have no choice but to unlock it for you. good luck my friend.

The fees and tax will be less than $15 for sure.
How much is taxes? Just calculate your taxes and fees based on your existing plan with your current provider. That is a good ballpark

You're scaring me now. Are you saying those of us who switched over from pre-paid accounts might be billed the full amount even if we passed their eligibility check? That's gonna be A LOT of people in this thread.
The terms say "post paid carrier" not "post paid service". That implies (to me) you can't bring a Google Voice or other VoIP number.

I am currently on T-Mobile and out of USA till August. I can sign up for the service and have my friend ship out the sim card to me.

1. Can I activate the service while out of USA?
2. Can I sign up for the service using the IMEI of a device, activate it and later use the SIM card on another device?
3. Does Sprint offer roaming service in India and Middle East? Any info on the charges would be really helpful.

Thanks!
Why do you even bother to ask people on the forums instead of sprint themselves? They know, people one the forum don't.

Does anyone have experience roaming on Verizon? Sprint does not service my house. It does look like they impose some limitations on how much you can roam.

Why are you assuming I didn't contact Sprint?

Slickdealers know a lot more than Sprint Customer support themselves. So please stop underestimating the members of this forum.

I've always found help on Slickdeals forums and this was the first instance I didn't get a response or find answers in the comments. Sorry...a valuable response as your comment doesn't answer my questions or add any value to this discussion😏

Writing it off as just one of those times when there are too many comments on the thread and your questions get lost😀
