Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Can anyone confirm the sim card they got in the mail?
The package i purchased from the B&M sprint store was for a Bring Your Own Device contain Sim Card SIMOLW416Q

Called for the activation, (got pass credit check), but was not able to activate using the sim. I am suppose to go back to the store and swap it out again.

Just wanted to see if there was any difference in sim card type.

this whole thing is like the movie Kingsman, I wonder if Sam Jackson developed a lisp and bought sprint

whatevs, I have an LG G6 unlocked and using verizon pre-paid, that's obvs ineligible, so I bought an unlocked s8+.

I tested the eligibility checker with my old nexus 5 that I gave to my Mom, she used Cricket, I use VZW prepaid, the MEID of the Nexus 5 showed eligible with both of the numbers I put into the checker (her's and mine)

Confused

1. How do I take advantage of this offer without ordering the SIM card online? I already have 2 Sprint SIM cards and would rather not order a 3rd one. The wiki says "Can pickup SIM at local Sprint store to save on $10 shipping". I thought you HAVE to order the SIM card through the offer link. And then activate through www.sprint.com/activate

2. Are big carrier MVNOs eligible? I'm currently with H2O wireless (AT&T MVNO), however a rep told me I wouldn't be eligible. This contradicts what the wiki says (per another chat). I hope someone who already activated can answer this.

3. Is there a way to tell right away if you would be granted the promo or not? I understand the Sprint bill comes after 30 days, shouldn't someone or something be able to tell though?

I was a Sprint customer for 10 years, and yes, I experienced bad customer service and terrible coverage. But I'm willing to give them another try wave I can always go back to H2O and pay $27/mo for 3GB with free international calling hug

Ok, my wife has nexus 5x on tello. Would something like this work:
1) Transfer the number to Verizon, release the phone from sprint on day 1
2) Transfer the number/ service to sprint get activation etc fee refunded by verizon
on day 2

Am I missing something? Do we need to wait more then 1 day?

Used a google voice number without a problem, just have to unlock it so it can be ported out. Although I ended up calling telesales because I wanted to use existing SIM card not a new one.
Any luck using your existing SIM card with the free year offer?

Well worded. People should learn to ignore such hate messages against Sprint based on a very old state. Yeah, although Sprint is not the greatest in speed/coverage, but it has gotten lot better in the recent years with LTE coverage.

Even I'm coming back to Sprint after 2 years, I'm amazed by the 45 Mbps download speed in my wife's Sprint phone when compared to my 23 Mbps download speed from MintSim. This coverage/speed is in South Bay Area, CA.

Yes it can be done, but requires a little planning.. since you can't port out of T-Mobile for ~8weeks (waiting for rebate) and Sprint's offer ends 6/30.

To hop from VZ to T-Mobile to Sprint.
It can be done. Here are the steps:
  1. Existing 60-day VZ customer, financing Pixel/iPhone/etc.
  2. Open new T-Mobile acct Pixel promo, Port number from VZ to T-Mobile.
  3. Pay VZ final bill + Pixel finance balance.
  4. Apply T-Mobile Pixel payoff rebate.
  5. Start Sprint 1YR free with Pixel IMEI and different number to port-in to Sprint.
  6. Pay a couple of T-Mobile monthly bills.
  7. Receive T-Mobile rebate. (~8weeks)
  8. Cancel T-Mobile acct and number.
  9. 3 hard credit pulls. (One by Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint)
  10. In the end, will have 1 Pixel and 1 year of Sprint service!
Anyone brave enough to attempt this?!

EDIT: "Get out of the Red" new promo has 60-day Verizon customer requirement. Does the old Pixel payoff have the same 60-day requirement? If yes, then all of this only works for 60-day+ VZ existing customers financing Pixel, iPhones, etc..
Looking at the fine print, you can "Add a line at any time up to the max. number of lines & get promotional pricing until 7/31/2018"

So, can we do this:

1. Signup for Verizon for 5 lines (+ buy 4 devices, 1 BYOD)
2. Within 3 days, port 1 line over to Sprint, get an account setup with 1 year free promo
3. Wait 60 days for 4 line on Verizon and then port them all over to T-Mobile
4. Let T-Mo pay off the devices after a couple months
5. Then port all 4 lines over to sprint for free service until July 2018

-- Risks / Costs:
-- T-Mobile promo should last for atleast 60 days from now
-- Pay Verizon for 4 devices for 60 days + activation fee + line access fees
-- Pay T-Mobile for 4 lines for 60 days + DPP for 4 devices

So, rough math, without taxes:
$700 devices x 4 = $2800

Out of pocket costs, roughly $200 each month for 4 lines -means it cannot exceed ~ $800.

Turns out, we get 4 new devices for $800 (and 3 credit pulls) and 5 lines of free service for almost a year.

What am I missing?
