Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Reporting back. Transferred from Verizon successfully. Lte speeds are similar to T-Mobile and att in my area. Verizon is about 4x faster but don't think makes a difference as long as it doesn't significantly affect internet access. Can't beat only paying just some taxes and fees for a whole year of unlimited.

Yep, got the sim free at bestbuy and called in to get it activated
Like you, I too have an existing SIM card. Is there a way to tell right away if you would be granted the promo or not? I understand the Sprint bill comes after 30 days.

Also, I am currently with H2O. I see some H2O folks successfully got in on this deal. I wonder if that's b/c they activated online? Would they have the same luck activating on the phone? Did they ask you who your current carrier is?

Is there a way to activate online WITHOUT ordering the SIM card online?

I was one of those that got the message that it could not complete my credit check online and needed to call the 800 number.

I did this and got approved and they are shipping the SIM card out to me. They said once I receive the SIM card, they will call me back to port my number and get the service setup.

It seems like everyone was able to do this on their own. Has anyone had to call in to CS or have them call you to do this? I am porting in from Google Voice and was hoping that I could do this myself to avoid them telling me that I could not use Google Voice to port in the number.

Or can I just tell them Verizon? Can they tell who the number belongs to? The IMEI and the number were already approved online; however, that was before I needed to call in for the credit check.

Thanks.

As far as I know, yes. You'll need to port to a non-Sprint MVNO to free up the device to switch the ownership code.
I have questions. My iPhone 6s was a sim-free version and was on R+ but was never on Ting. It's now on Verizon prepaid. My Nexus 5 was on R+ as well but not sure if it was ever on Ting or not. It was on another Sprint MVNO for sure but now is not on anything. Does that mean I can't use them on Sprint until I change ownership codes?

thanks, I was just curious if anyone on a Sprint MVNO had gotten this to work. Pretty sure no one has. Smilie
If you're ok with new number and have compatible phone just sign up for Verizon and port over.

Also wondering if anybody on Project Fi has had any success.
Yes. I had an inactive refurb from Project Fi, which just needed its ownership flag changed. Thanks to LiterallyUnlimited for doing that!

Note: I'm porting a number from H20 wireless, but the phone was from Project Fi.

Did you order the SIM online, or already have an existing one? Did you activate online or on the phone?

Will this work with a Cricket line? I have an unlocked iPhone 6 that used to be on AT&T post paid account.

Curious. Did you use a referral from an existing customer. I'm told you can even after activating.
