Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

They actually have a list of participating credit unions?

You can swap devices but will that invalidate the free promo? did you try to upgrade? If it allows it, it will invalidate the free promo per terms.

The point I'm trying to make is even if it allows you to do it, are you sure that Sprint won't start charging you for the plan. I don't know the answer either way.

I didn't check the upgrade part I'm going to check it now but swapping your device is just okay no problem. You can do it in two ways, either through your sprint.com account or through the chatting customer service and I did both. My line shows something, $5 dollars a month and the plan called bring your own sh.....t. That is a joke, it is called bring your phone. I don't think sprint or any other company will disable to swap the device that is insane.

When you fill it out, there is a page where you select your credit union. Mine is not there.

Heads up, their customer support line is slammed. I've been on hold for nearly an hour after waiting over two hours for my Verizon number to port unsuccessfully. They charged my card to set up my account but their automated system didn't complete the port process. I've been transferred twice and now have what sounds like a dead line. Took my money but now won't deliver the service, and no CSR seems to know what's going on or even what this promotion is. I'm just hoping my Verizon SIM still works.

I'm not disagreeing with the ability to swap devices. It's just wether it will invalidate the free promo. What is the point of sprint going through the phone and number eligibility anyway?

Started the porting process roughly 45 minutes ago, it still hasn't activated. My T-Mobile SIM still works though, guess I'll just continue using that for now...

Why don't you do everyone a solid and ask Sprint? Post back with their reply...

Have you tried talking to sprint? I have, sprint sucks... someone commented before that sprint valuees their service at $0 and that is a fair valuation.... their support lives up to that valuation more so than their coverage, imo.

Please stop this none sense. You can swap your device 100 times a day if you want. I got my five lines with free one year plan, removed my old freaking device, now using my SPRINT Iphone 7 plus. So stop telling something that you are not sure. Sorry for my rudeness but yes you can swap your device. Thanks everyone.
Really? I think you should bite your tongue, because when it clearly says you can't change devices the first xx amount of days, then I sure as hell wouldn't do it. Just because it worked, doesn't mean come bill time that you won't receive the full plan's bill price... I wouldn't trust some rep in the Philippines with it either, because likely, they're doing what you are and just seeing that it's letting them do it.

I wouldn't give Sprint ANY reason to screw me over. If it's in the fine print *not* to switch devices, then I'm going to stay put for 3-4 months on that phone. It's not the end of the world if that's the scenario. Use your nice iPhone off your other phone's hotspot if it's that big of a deal for you.

I think the credit union offer is $50 for BYOD, $100 if you activate a new device (either with port in).
Do you have a link to that, the link I read was $100 per new line and $50 per year there after.

I thought the referral offer is $100 for old customer, $50 for new customer (total $150).

Then don't even ask questions on here, especially if you're not willing to put in any effort. It takes 5 minutes to use chat option, and definitely don't do the deal if you've already come to that sort of conclusion about Sprint.

I just quoted the terms and conditions listed on the site. If you could point to the correct information instead of just lambasting me that'd be great. Wink

I had the same question and asked Sprint, making sure what I was asking was incredibly clear. They told me that I can indeed swap phones, but that I will have to activate the new one as opposed to just swapping sims and perhaps buy a new sim card if it's a different size. I currently have an iPhone 6 but am about to buy a used 7 to replace it, and I was told that doing so will be totally fine.

Referral promo the referrer gets $100 and the referee gets $50 per line, $500 max per year.

My interpretation is $100 for new smartphone line activation meaning new device activation, not BYOD. But it could just mean new customer line activation.
