Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Any former Sprint customers having trouble porting in? I chatted with a rep online and she was only able to see my old account information in the system and told me I'd have to go to a store to complete the port.

Has anyone managed to do the credit check via the website? Seems nearly everyone is being forced to visit a store to get it done.
the website failed for me so I had to call in so they can ask me all the crazy questions to verify who I am but I never had to go to the store and I have successfully switched over 4 phones now

Why don't you check online with the IMEI. Chances are it won't work.
I did check the IMEI and it said ineligible, but i wasn't sure if it's because it's coming from ting and tpo. Does the check just check device compatibility and not carrier?

Thanks, I will try this phone number.
I went to BestBuy and asked the mobile dept reps, I am looking for a sprint network only SIM card. They had them for $5. Called the 866 sprint number and all was good as long as your phone is eligible.

Is your device on the list? Also, you may have to call Ting or TPO and ask them your IMEI is coming up ineligible which most likely means they need to add it to a database or a port number database. You can try to ask the Sprint rep on the phone if they would be so kind to add your IMEI to their database too

If I have an Iphone 6+ that has been reset and not currently activated, will signing up for this service this lock my phone to Sprint from this point forward?

Been with Verizon a loooong time but this super deal was too good to pass up. Had sprint send me the SIM card which they got here in less than 2 days. Ported on line. Put the sim in before activating. Whoops. Activated then had to take the sim out and put it back in. Ported number. Only took about 3 minutes! Amazing. So overall pretty dang easy process. Will probably switch back to Verizon after the free year is up since their network is definitely faster in my area and I have an employee discount. Hopefully Verizon unlimited will be cheaper by then. But thanks for the deal! I'm saving about 45-50 bucks per month.

Is the iPhone 6+ unlocked? If the phone's not unlocked, unless it's a Sprint model that they let return to the Sprint network, you can't sign up.

No, signing up for this service won't lock the phone to Sprint from this point forward.

If/when T-Mobile buys out Sprint, will T-M void this deal? Not sure about the language in the contract.

Just curious...

Were you able to port from Pure Talk to the free plan?

Signed up, waiting for Sim to arrive. Had to try twice because of ad blocker. Just use chrome browser. If everything goes well I will port a second line.

As usual, all the cybaby negativity from half these posts are ridiculous. If you get decent Sprint coverage in your area do it.
Thanks OP, and Thanks those of you with helpful posts.
BTW, John Legere is a loudmouth Rockstar wannabe and I hope Sprint remains a stand-alone carrier for competitive pressure.

As stated before, I ran in to some issues when trying to port from Google Voice (as expected). Understanding it would probably not work, I still wanted to give it a good try.

In any case.. If I create a new line on my T-Mobile plan, does anyone know how long that one would need to be active before I could port it out to Sprint? And is there any reason that I could not just create a tablet plan on T-mobile and port that one over to Sprint instead of a phone line?

Thanks.
