Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Your Sprint chat transcript
This is an automated email. Please do not respond to this email address as it does not accept incoming email.
You : I was looking to switch to sprying for the BYOD 1 year service for two phones
Jessica : Hi, I'm a Sprint sales specialist. Would you like any help today?
You : We're sorry, we're unable to confirm your credit online.
Please call the number above for assistance.
You : received that message.
You : I have outstanding credit, and I just verified it.
You : is this a fake deal?
Jessica : I am sorry for the inconvenience. It seems that your order needs a manual credit check. Currently, the manual credit check option is not available online. However, you can get this option with our Telesales team at 866-782-8777.
Jessica : This is not a fake deal.
Jessica : This is an excellent limited time offer! Our Unlimited Bring Your Own Phone promotion is targeted for select new customers switching to Sprint from Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile.
You : did the online credit check initial a hard pull on my credit?
You : *initiate
Jessica : It will be a soft credit check.
You : does the online credit check ever work?
Jessica : Yes, it works.
You : well then, why would someone with over a 850 credit score be declined?
Jessica : There are many reasons for a manual credit check like your credit score is high or low, or someone had used your SSN earlier.
You : what is the difference between the online vs a manual credit check?
Jessica : Since a credit score of 850 is more than average credit score. Our website give the option for a manual credit check.
Jessica : In manual credit check, our Sprint representative will check your credit instead of getting it done by our website.
You : well if the sprint website says an 850+ score is not good enough why would it be different with a sprint representative?
Jessica : I am sorry for the confusion.
Jessica : The credit score of 850 is a very good credit score.
You : no problem, I just want explanations.
Jessica : Since it is more than average credit score, our website had referred to call for completing the order.
Jessica : It is just for the prevention of online fraud.
You : i do not understand the logic in that.
You : so if i had a poor score your website would say it's ok to proceed?
Jessica : Anyone will not like if any fraud activity will get done with the credit.
You : ok how about you answer this. Under what circumstances will sprints "online credit check" approve an online credit application?
Jessica : It will get done if your credit is normal.
You : what does normal mean?
Jessica : If your credit is poor. Then, our website will deny.
Jessica : A normal credit score is between of 750-800.
You : ok, so anything over 800 requires a manual check?
You : and anything under 750 is denied?
Jessica : Sprint's definition of "good credit" takes many factors into consideration, including your credit report and payment history, and is consistent with industry standards.
Jessica : Sometimes, below score of 750 and above of 800 get approved.
You : in what circumstances would that be?
You : i'm trying to find out how I errored in the eye's of sprint by having too high a fico score.
You : if i'm going to call in i want to make sure i get a resolution
You : and not another pull on my account.
Jessica : Sprint do not want that any fraud activity will get done with your credit that's why our website is asking to call on the number.
Jessica : Would you like that anyone will do a fraud with your credit?
You : i am perfectly able to manage and protect my own credit.
You : i do not need sprints help in that regards.
You : sprint is not a fraud prevention company.
Poor rep. She was explaining to you the system just fine. I get that you were unhappy with the way it was handled, but it doesn't make the rep wrong or at fault. Extreme scores (outside of a typical range) are often handled by real people to prevent possible fraud. It's a common practice.

I signed up for this two days ago. Got 3 free sims from Sprint store. We switched three iPhone 6 over from Verizon. Weird thing is we have better service now in our area and better data speeds. Would've never guessed. Great deal so far! I saw a post about wifi calling not working properly. All of our iPhones 6 wifi calling work perfectly from the get go.

I used to work at a bank. With such an unusually high credit score, they want to make sure you're not using the credit of a dead person. Making you call in for a manual check verifies that you are not a unicorn.
You mean unicorns aren't real? Crap... I'm going to have to think on that awhile.

Oh thanks... I was confused.

Is there any way to get on this deal with my Ting number and device (both active with Ting currently)? My device is iPhone 6s (Verizon).

Would it be possible to do this without porting out from Ting first?

Otherwise, if i must port out from ting first, what would be the cheapest way?
The user that replied to your message doesn't know what he's talking about.

TPO uses both TMO and Sprint to support both GSM and CDMA devices. So, it all depends on which service you were using with TPO. For this promo, many phones that were once on the Sprint network are showing up as ineligible, so if you were on TPO's CDMA service, then you'll need to ask them to remove your phone's IMEI from the network to make it eligible.

I mentioned in my post yesterday - my credit check passed on Friday. I did not complete the order at that time. When I did the same check yesterday, it said unable to verify.

May be they want everyone to go through a sales person who is asking lot of questions related to device and porting provider.

Do we have to port our numbers over from verizon to get this deal? I want to sign up and switch to a sprint phone I have, but I don't want to cancel my verizon numbers.

In other words, I don't want my verizon account affected in any way. i want to keep the same number on verizon, but add a year of free sprint with a different number
If you have a reason you need to keep your verizon acct active with your current number, you could just add a new line under your verizon acct and port out that new line to get this deal. If you port out right away, I don't believe verizon would charge you for that new line even.

You'll want to make sure that the Sprint phone you want to use is eligible for this promo though. It may not be because the promo is BYOD specific and many phones whose IMEI # are already registered on the Sprint network are coming up as ineligible. If this is the case, you could use your friend's/family's elgible phone's IMEI # to sign up for this deal, activate the sim on their phone, and just put it in your own Sprint phone afterwards, I believe.

Switched an iPhone 6S and a iPhone 7 to Sprint under this deal. I am unable to activate Wifi Calling on both of my iPhones. The error message states, "We are unable to process your request at this time due to account level settings set by your account owner".

Customer service says that several iPhone BYODs are having this issue and they were not able to resolve. They opened a ticket and said someone will get back to me. Anyone with similar BYOD iPhones having this issue? Ideas on how to fix it?

I have the same issue; don't see a solution. See post:

If I end up having to call in like so many in this thread have had to do, would being on a non sprint MVNO make things more difficult than if I'd been post paid Verizon, ATT, or Tmo? Would the rep possibly deny my attempt at getting this deal?

It depends on if your phone is on Ting CDMA or on Ting GSM among other things. If you'd like to take this private, send me a PM on Reddit with the IMEI of the phone. I can't use SlickDeal's message service because of a limit they place on new accounts.
