Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

When you activate the phone online, there is an option to enter a new ICCID if you want to use another SIM.
So you don't need to buy the $2.99 sim plus $10 shipping when ordering service if placing order online?

You do not if you have a compatible sim.

I told them it is Puretalk which is based on att and it is postpaid. no problem with this. I have no pin so they put four last digits of my ssn, which i think would be incorrect. anyway i am going to call puretalk tomorrow and find out what pin should sprint use in order to port out.
Would be interested in this. Considering port out of a relatives # from puretalk.

I said Google Voice. If they ask, say its post paid. But make sure you have your google voice ready for porting (there is a fee of $3).
So the phone you brought in wasn't on any carrier? Just straight up using WiFi with gv/hangouts?

Oh... And so they won't say anything that the IMEI is not connected to the number, like it would be on a carrier?

Data Points:

- I have a iPhone 5S that I was using on Sprint -> RingPlus ->Ting -> was currently active on Tello. I used the same sim card throughout and was able to re-use it for this deal.
- I swapped out my Tello device to another phone.
- I signed up for a brand new Google Voice number.
- I did the application online and then called telesales a couple of hours later to ask if I could use the sim card I already had instead. They said yes, and to return the sim card that was already on its way to me by refusing delivery to get a refund.
- While I was on the phone with them, I realized I needed to unlock the GV number to make it portable so I did it and paid $3 while I was waiting. I told Sprint it was a T-Mo account, gave them an old T-Mo account that I had closed in April, and BS'd the pin number (pin number not set up on GV).
- Had telesales go through the rest of the application and reference the online application for info. Signed up for autopay.
- Periodically shut down and tried resetting my PRL info for the next couple of days. My phone finally started working on day 3. Yay!

- I signed up for the AA promo before I started the application and need to figure out if I qualified.
- I'm using my real GV number to forward to this new Sprint (formerly GV) number.
- I'm planning to swap out my phone to a Samsung 8+ next week, so we'll see how that goes.

Anyone know if you can take advantage of the AAA program or American Airlines (25K) miles with the 1-year free?

What about the referral bonus? I assume you can't combine discount programs, but who knows.

I didn't see one, they would only send you the SIM. I had to call.

Does it have to be one of the phones listed on the Sprint Website? Or I can use the IMEI of one the sprint phones that I have laying around to verify?

My GSM phone is not one of the phones listed on elegible list of phones. But I do have a Sprint Phone available.

I have a Iphone 5S from Sprint currently having Mint sim one year plan, I just checked this phone's IMEI with my Google voice #, it showed that it works for this Sprint one year free plan. Can I use this phone's IMEI and my google voice # to port in the plan and then switch to other phones ( have several Samsung phones which shows non compatible ) By doing so, does it affect my Mint sim? Thanks a lot for any reply and Tia.

Literally just popped in SIMs 2 days ago.
This morning wife and I woke up to Roaming, and no data connections.
Texts take forever to go through, and calls are spotty, if they even connect.
Managed to get in touch with CS ("Sorry, you're voice keeps cutting out"- lol, ya... that's why I'm calling) over the phone and they said a cell-tower nearby is needing maintenance. GREAT!
Around the same time, I got a response via twitter from @sprintcare
Quote :
Thank you for the information provided. We have determined that the problems you have described are being caused by a cell site outage in your area. The good news is our network team has already identified the issue and is working to resolve it as quickly as possible. The estimated time of resolution is 06/21/17. We're sorry that you are experiencing this and understand the inconvenience. We value you as a customer and appreciate your patience. - MA
Le sigh.
Great first impression Sprint, really.

Edit- I guess, ideally, this only affects "nearby" and service should resume to regularly scheduled programming once I get into the range of another, functioning tower. But wife and I both work/live "nearby" this broke tower. Frown

The user that replied to your message doesn't know what he's talking about.

TPO uses both TMO and Sprint to support both GSM and CDMA devices. So, it all depends on which service you were using with TPO. For this promo, many phones that were once on the Sprint network are showing up as ineligible, so if you were on TPO's CDMA service, then you'll need to ask them to remove your phone's IMEI from the network to make it eligible.
Thanks for your reply. My verizon iphone 6s is currently active on Ting. Looking at my Ting account, the network seems to be CDMA. Is that why my device shows as ineligible from the checker for the Sprint 1 year free plan?

What can I do? Should I ask Ting to remove my phone's IMEI from the CDMA network even though that my device is currently active with Ting?

So its been a few days since the deal open up.

Any impressions so far? I thinking about switching from Verizon to Sprint on my iPhone 6. I live in Phoenix.

How much are the monthly fees? Hows coverage in big cities?
