Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I bought a sim card at Bestbuy and ported over my cricket phone without a problem using the 1-866-782-8777 number.

1. This is possible, you can sign up anywhere as long as it offer gophone plan and ATT sim.

2. I use the 0.25 plan because I believe this is the plan which you pay the least money I believe if you order a monthly prepaid, you most likely need to pay for the month first. (but I could be wrong)

3. In my case I pay the $10 (the min refill amount)refill because I need to get my account number to port my number and the only way to get the gophone account number from ATT is talk to a rep which I am not sure they will give you the account number if you never refill the account, so I pay up $10 anyway. If you can get the account number without any refill done then yes you can save $10.

4. Yes you can use your own sim, (which I have one) but you need to call to complete the activation, no way to use your own sim if you try to do it online.
Thank you so much! Could you please let me know the link for the $1.7 sim that you purchased? I'd like to buy it ASAP. So I talked to ATT store and they said the gophone sim card is not for sell unless I sign up and pay for a whole month plan in advance.

Am Sprint subscriber, spouse is trying this out. Problem is, she couldn't get the credit check completed online, when she called in, the manual check also didn't work because there isn't enough public info on her (?). She was previously a Sprint subscriber a long time ago, but that info's long gone. If it makes a difference she was told once by the bank she has a "thin" credit history. She does have Amex and Chase credit cards in her own name and the limit isn't exactly small either...

You need to activate the promo from someone's referral link or email first. Then sign up for account. Then register your number online. A couple days later you can sign up for sprint referral rewards to refer others.

You get $50 per line the referrer gets $100 per line, $500 max combined.

Since this deal requires port, might as well do the credit union port in promo too.
Great info .. thank you!

I had the exact same problem, had to go to the store to get the process completed (it was not for this promo, but the G6 promo yesterday). Anytime she tries to open a bank account or anywhere her SSN is required, its a hit or a miss - many places don't "recognize" her. She has quite a few credit cards, has a great score and has almost 7 years of credit history.

I have still not been able to decipher the reason some places can't recognize her SSN. My theory is that when she applied for her's 7 years ago in the north east, a number was given out from a newly opened up range of SSNs. Many systems have still not changed to accept the new range yet. This is just my theory - I actually haven't met or seen anyone else with a similar problem - not sure if your wife also is in the same league. I have no idea how to get over this problem.

The only restriction that I could find on the AAdvantage promo page is that you can't be participating in "SDP" or Sprint Discount Program. I think being in SDP means that you get a a discount on your bill because of an affiliation with a group like AAA or a university. Since we're not getting any discount for this plan, I'm assuming we can participate in the AAdvantage promo as well as any other promo.

I signed up for the AAdvantage and Credit Union promos, but I won't know until 6-8 weeks if anything actually went through.
Thinking about doing the same thing though suppose there is some risk that the free line could go away.

Also I find it difficult to find FF availability on AA so maybe not worth the chance for me. Could be worth it to others.

Thanks... which provider is puretalk? Do you mean that I can port from Ting to puretalk, then port from puretalk to sprint for this 1 year free plan? My device is Verizon iPhone 6s and is currently active with Ting and I need to keep my number. Thanks for your help...

Was it ever active on TingCDMA or RingPlus? The serial number could be locked up to an MVNO.

That said, if you have the actual G955U, it should be just a simple switch flip. If it became a G955U due to software flashing, it's not eligible because Sprint has a whitelist, and the whitelist doesn't care what software you have flashed on your phone.
my Samsung is from the Samsung insight program, and I picked Verizon Version. the model # is G955U

I had a co-worker who also had this issue, whenever he couldn't get it to work his wife did it in her name and that worked out ok. I didn't used to believe in credit cards or sign up for junk mail, but went through a phase where I said yes to every single garbage card some store offered me and signed up for free shit everywhere. The end result is I've never run into a problem with credit but am now having a hard time with Chase as I'm well over 5/24. Very hesitant to suggest my wife to do the same...

Makes no sense to do a hard pull when you're coming in BYOD. Its possible they're doing soft now because so many people are having issues with the website.
Why? even without your device, you can run up your bill by ordering other service such as (toll line, roaming, long distance). It a postpaid service so they don't charge you until the end of the month. You are making no sense because you dont think.
