Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

IDK about activating in different phone but you can swap devices after activation.
Awesome. Does it actually work with the same SIM card?

In chat now. I only agreed to the terms for the free BYOD plan. The rep clearly read out the terms for the free BYOD plan and stated it would be $5 a month without Auto-pay turned on, and that the promotion was active until 7/31/2018. I will have them check the call recording if they refuse to honor it.
They put my second line in the 60 dollar plan. They do not know how to combine them. What should I do now? Anyone has the same problem?

Can you make the referral retroactive. I already set up my account yesterday and ported 3 lines. My friend referred me "verbally". Can we both still sign up for the referral and qualify?

I don't think you can claim referral retroactively - I believe it was the case before... but now, the referral website explicitly says that you need to "unlock the offer" before becoming a new customer.

The T&C says this (https://refer.sprint.com/common/terms.pg):

"Referrer's existing account registration at sprint.com/referral and referral messages sent to a referee must be prior to the referee's opening of a new account and activation of a new wireless phone line. Referrer's existing account must have been activate for at least 48 hours prior to a referee's opening of a new account and activation of a wireless phone line."

We might be better off to unlock the referral before opening a new account

When a device is active on sprint the meid and SIM card are mated. If you want to swap lte devices you would need a 2nd device to swap and a 2nd SIM card. Once swap is done the original device and 1st SIM card become unmated.

If you have only 1 SIM card. You would need to swap in a device that doesn't use a SIM card. This will also unmate original lte device and SIM card. Then you could now activate the 2nd lte phone with original SIM card.
I know kind of confusing.
PS the SIM cards you use need to be compatible with the lte device you will be using.

crap.... now I know for sure, I'm getting what I'm paying for
see the crawling LTE speed (1-2Mbps) compared to T-mobile (10-13Mbps).
and I live in suburb where wasn't T-mo's strong suit

In the photo,
Left: iphone 6 on Sprint Unlimited "free" plan (guess I'm paying $10-15 in tax/fee after all)
Right: nexus 6p on T-Mobile $30 Walmart plan

Dear lord, this has been a painful process.

-The website didn't work, had to call in
-My SIM card with "overnight shipping" didn't get here for 4 days
-Called in and was on hold for almost 10 minutes before I got a person
-They had to conference in a girl from the credit dept to get my SSN released, since I was a previous subscriber (maybe that's why the website couldn't approve my credit)
-They said my (brand new, unlocked) iPhone 7 wasn't eligible...had to check again and manually "add it to the database" but rep almost wasn't going to let me do it

Took a 51-minute phone call just to get it activated, almost cancelled it halfway through the process. I hope this turns out OK, but I've got a bad feeling about it.

Same here. Added two lines today, they list out at $60 for the one and $45 for the other. Going to give it a couple of days to see how it sorts out before I call in and complain.
