The T&C says this (https://refer.sprint.co
"Referrer's existing account registration at sprint.com/referral and referral messages sent to a referee must be prior to the referee's opening of a new account and activation of a new wireless phone line. Referrer's existing account must have been activate for at least 48 hours prior to a referee's opening of a new account and activation of a wireless phone line."

I am on tmobiles $30 prepaid plan I want to port this number in but I am wondering what happens to the remainder of my $30 plan? Do I get a new number with tmobile or what happens?

If you have only 1 SIM card. You would need to swap in a device that doesn't use a SIM card. This will also unmate original lte device and SIM card. Then you could now activate the 2nd lte phone with original SIM card.
I know kind of confusing.
PS the SIM cards you use need to be compatible with the lte device you will be using.
see the crawling LTE speed (1-2Mbps) compared to T-mobile (10-13Mbps).
and I live in suburb where wasn't T-mo's strong suit
In the photo,
Left: iphone 6 on Sprint Unlimited "free" plan (guess I'm paying $10-15 in tax/fee after all)
Right: nexus 6p on T-Mobile $30 Walmart plan
-The website didn't work, had to call in
-My SIM card with "overnight shipping" didn't get here for 4 days
-Called in and was on hold for almost 10 minutes before I got a person
-They had to conference in a girl from the credit dept to get my SSN released, since I was a previous subscriber (maybe that's why the website couldn't approve my credit)
-They said my (brand new, unlocked) iPhone 7 wasn't eligible...had to check again and manually "add it to the database" but rep almost wasn't going to let me do it
Took a 51-minute phone call just to get it activated, almost cancelled it halfway through the process. I hope this turns out OK, but I've got a bad feeling about it.
