Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

so you did it through chat then? lol I only see one fool here...

the odds of them getting you on the free promo plan are basically zero. they gave you credit for this month to keep you as a customer in the hope that you will forget about it next month. Close the account.
I'm in the same boat. I even posted in the wiki a PDF of the instructions that was sent with the SIM cards on how to activate if you either ordered via phone or dedicated number.

The only think I didn't do was wait for the rep who sent me the sims to call me back and activate them like he asked. It took him 4 days to call back though. Said he'd call Monday so I got tired of waiting and activated this morning, Thursday. I'm on the wrong plan and the rep just called an hour ago.

Google Voice is $3 (to unlock) and works for porting.
I ported my longtime number to Google last year. I don't want to risk losing it. Can you have more than 1 google voice number ?

Has anybody been able to move a Nexus 5x over that they got through project fi? I have gotten rejected both online and over the phone now.
Are you porting the Fi number? I'm asking because you might not be able to port that number since it uses the Sprint network (at least part of the time.

If you cancelled Fi, the phone still remains activated on Sprint, it doesn't deactivate automatically.

This happened to me with a Nexus 6. I cancelled Fi, took it to T-Mobile for a couple months, then tried to activate on Ringplus but it kept coming back as "already activated". I had to contact Fi support and get them to deactivate the phone.

Contact Fi support and tell them to clear your phone from Sprint and see if that works.

Only 1 number per Google account, but you can sign up for a 2nd gmail account, add a Google Voice number to that and then port that out.

Probably not the cheapest, but definitely easy: T-Mobile prepaid. $10 cost for the sim kit from Amazon or T-Mobile and then just don't add any money after you activate the new prepaid line.
Is a SIM kit required? I know a couple people with T-Mobile service. If they happen to have an extra SIM, would I be able to use it ?

FreedomPop LTE GSM under AT&T? Or
FreedomPop GSM Global SIM?

I am trying FreedomPop GSM Global SIM and it is not going through for some reason :-(. I got all correct info from my.freedompop.com

It's difficult, you need a new gmail account and a phone number from someone who has never used Google Voice. That way you can link that number and THEN obtain a new Google Voice number.

Thanks on the phone with them now. This phone was actually a replacement from FI and was only ever activated on T-Mobile. Hopefully they can help.

This has probably been asked. I ordered a new moto g4 play. Which is the least expensive service with easiest sign-up that can be used to be eligible for the Sprint deal?

THIS. Another option is to go into att store and add a prepaid account go account (they dont check imei or anything), the minimum you can add is 10.00, which you will also have to pay taxes. Ask for the 2.00 day plan, then port away.

I think the TMOBILE option is better but I had an att store close to me so I went this route.

Ok. I do have a second Google account. So in this case, the Google number and the handset wouldn't have 'service'. I would be supplying Sprint with an 'eligible' phone number and an 'eligible' handset without service...since it will be a new handset.

You can use a tmobile sim you already purchased BUT, mobile likes to "expire" their sims and will try everything in their power to mail you a new one. Just tell them you have one and you would like to use that one. If they say that you absolutely must have a new one mailed, tell them you dont want to pay 25.00 (especially when these sims used to cost 0.99). They will then try to throw in some item you dont need, like Jesus left sandal. Just be persistent until you get a cost you are comfortable with.

Haha, do you know what happens if the sim card doesn't get used, will the port not work? Or is a legit meid + phone number enough to initiate the port and make it active (without ever sticking it in a phone)?
Should work. http://www.androidpolice.com/2015...on-sprint/
