Damn they are having a hard time porting my freedompop number. I already ported 4 from cricket and everything went smooth. I'll try again tomorrow and see what happens.

Can I transfer in a regular Google Voice number that isn't attached to any carrier?

So....
1 go to sprint store pick up starter pack
2 get my unlocked G5 from amazon
3 put in IMEI and GV number on website and finish registration
4 put in sim card and away I go?

Or do I need to go to t mobile and put $10 in an account to get an account number?

Man this thread moves with lightning speed. Anyone know if I HAVE to do the final activation with the phones/IMEI's I used when ordering the initial SIMs? I found a different phone and know the SIM's I ordered will fit this model too.

You have to call to switch/change the IMEI because they already paired the first phone IMEI with the SIM ICCID. If you have access to your Sprint account online, you can do the switch yourself.

My experience: ported over from Tmobile. Purchased a new network unlocked s8 with the trade in deal over the weekend, had the option to chose a free sprint sim so I did. Had to call in obviously for set up and yes, it's a pain in the a. Spent over an hour on the phone, most of the time repeating what I said and spelling and re-spelling everything for the agent I could barely understand. I used the number right from the promo website and the agent even answered the call by bringing up the byod promo. All said and done things went through fine. Have not seen my first bill so don't know total price but it's showing the promo online in my account and received a confirmation email with promo deals. Took the extra few minutes to apply for all referrals so fingers crossed! One thing that was very frustrating is the agent INSISTED that the device protection was required for this promo. Don't let them do this to you, stand your ground it is NOT required. He tried multiple times to add it again insisting it was required for this promo. After I thought we had moved on he said he would waive the $30 activation fee if I add the protection plan, REAL SHADY stuff as it's waived automatically so be prepared. When he said that I told him to not ask again or I'd insist on his manager..

As far as the service it's meh, mixed bag. Unfortunately my house in CO 80015 lists as a top speed area but I'm lucky to even get one mb down.. Annoying but I can use wifi at home if needs be. When I'm out and about I've seen speeds up in the 50s. So all in all for free it works for now, not sure I'll last a whole year tho. Good luck everyone, lmk if you need a referral link 😊

Did you make the device swap immediately after porting in or have u waited until ur first bill posted? I need to make the switch too but nervous they'll cancel the line or something before my first bill posts.

Who do you call to have third party unlocked boost iPhone SE that doesn't pass FED to add to database? Current sprint customer. I've chatted previously and they told me to go to store to check device.

So i have an unlocked s7 (So-called special edition by sprint) currently active as freedompop byod (Cdma). Online eligibility check did not pass of coz. My question is if i can remove this phone from the active line, wait and port in the cdma fp number or i will need a fp gsm number to do it. I do have both services available. Thanks a lot.
