Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Use another phone to activate the third line before June 30th. You can switch the iP6+ to that third line later after it's unlocked.
Hi macro, maybe you can help me. I have a freedompop sim which I know is still usable. Tried to port it thru phone but they couldn't get it to go through. I gave them my account number and pin. I've never really used this line from freedompop. Tried to use it to get the Verizon Google Pixel deal but decided to do a t-mobile sim instead. Any help would be appreciated!

Can anyone please help? I signed up for the Sprint 1 Year Free Service over the phone. Got the plan and everything was setup. However, I am just getting 3G always on my Nexus 6 although Sprint Network Coverage map shows 4G LTE Plus available. Tried everything possible that I know off: Network Setting Reset, Update PRL, Update Device Config, even replaced SIM at Sprint Store, still it is 3G wherever I go. I used to get good LTE signal with T-mobile and previously R+ on my Nexus 6 (unlocked, purchased from Amazon). Does anyone know of any fix?

Since it is unlimited data, can I use it as an unlimited hotspot? I noticed it said "10 GB Mobile Hotspot, but not sure if that is a hard limit.

Thanks again brickpub.

ANYBODY THAT HAS BOUGHT A PHONE BOUGHT INITIALLY THROUGH PROJECT FI (GOOGLE) - You have to call them and ask them to deregister the phone. Because Sprint is part of the FI network it looks like the phone is already active on there. Takes 24-48 hours to happen once you open a ticket by calling 1-844-TALK-2FI.
Thanks for the heads-up! Not sure if I'll be moving my 5X over but this will be helpful if I do.

What WuyiL said... Wait for 24 hours or more. You are getting 3G only because your number porting is not 100% completed yet.

After activating on Sprint I noticed that under my connection settings it was set to global.

On my Moto G4 I had to go to Settings, Wireless & Networks go to More, Mobile Networks, select preferred network type, and select LTE recommended.

After changing this I had LTE. If this works, don't forget to rep ^_^.

I have a verizon moto z but sprint website is saying its not compatible. Can i use my verizon iphone 7 to activate and later use the sim in moto z after activation. I checked online that moto z is compatible with sprint but only 3g, not LtE. I just need a spare connection for using at home so 3G is also okay. Please suggest.

FP has a PIN reset button under your acct, but apparently it's a dummy button to hold you hostage into calling into their pay support...
Login to FP Community & give this gal your phone# and email and she'll hook you up with correct port PIN. Acct# is phone#
for port if you didn't already know that.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, that was one of the first things I checked and was surprised to see "Global" and immediately changed it to 4G/LTE (recommended). Alas, that did not fix the issue.

Buy a new phone or change the modem chip
You can't change just the modem chip. Note 5 uses ePoP, where all the CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and modem are integrated into a single chip.

Thats what I thought. The guy I was replying to said he had Sprint add the imei for the verizon note 5 to their database. I guess he never used that phone.
I think that guy gets 3G only. You can add Verizon Note IMEI to the Sprint database. It will take any IMEI (including dummy IMEI) as long as the checksum checked out from the Luhn algorithm.

Is the SIM still active with FP and which plan (AT&T, Sprint) do you have with FP?
