Any ideas?
My billing cycle ends on the 25th. ATT doesn't prorate, so I'm trying to get this deal done. Do you know if the sim cards can be sent overnight with a Saturday delivery?
Sunday is the 25th. If I am unable to receive the sim cards by then, I plan on cancelling my lines with att on Sunday and just being without service for a day. Will there be any issues? I'm guessing the sim cards would come in by Monday, unless a local pickup option has been discussed.
I've read that your old account, in my case att, will be closed when a line is ported. When does this take place? Does this happen when you activate the phone with the sprint sim card?
BTW, nice to see you helping out in this thread. So many repeat questions though. I'm waiting for Hinny to show up.

You can't cancel your att account because Sprint needs an active account to port numbers into for this promo.
Do everything by Friday or continue with att until the whole thing is done.
Att account will close automatically when numbers are ported to Sprint

get the sims and call the sprint number for the promo and they should be able to activate your sims for the deal.

It might be easier to see if you can pick up the sims locally. I was promised overnight delivery but I didnt believe that and sprint will pee in your cornflakes and tell you its raining
You could also port to Tmobile prepaid but I would do so instore and have them confirm if it can be done the same day. You could have also ported over to google voice but from my understanding google voice ports are never completed on the weekend. I could be wrong though. Regardless, weekday ports take 24 hours GVOICE.
And yes, once you port out all of your att lines, this will set up closure to your account. An instore port is usually within a few minutes (to a few hours). Online ports cand phone ports can take longer but can be just as quick as well. You would want to call in and confirm
When this sprint deal went south on me, I still ported all my Tmobile lines to google voice, but one. I then just suspended that last line until I can figure out which service to move my family to. I am thinking of just going with tello since my parents will just pay a few more dollars above the taxes anyway (but will not have unlimited everything and still be on the crappy sprint network).
Most carriers allow a vacation suspension or hold and you just pay the suspend fee (its 10.00 for tmobile post paid). But, you will want to check to see if u can port out while a line is suspended,
